15 Bisexual Celebrities Open Up About Love And Sex

"I thought people should know my experience was very real—and very normal."

In the spirit of helping to eradicate bi invisibility, we're celebrating celebrities who have made public their affection for both men and women.

Some wave their B card proudly, some just live their lives. But there's one thing they all have in common: None of them would give us the time of day.

Alan Cumming

"I have a healthy sexual appetite and a healthy imagination. I still define myself as a bisexual even though I have chosen to be with Grant," the Cabaret star told  Instinct  in 2013.

"I’m sexually attracted to the female form, even though I am with a man and I just feel that bisexuals have a bad rap."

Kesha

"I don't love just men. I love people. It's not about a gender," the singer explained to Seventeen magazine in 2013. "It's just about the spirit that exudes from that other person you're with."

Anna Paquin

"I don't think it's a past-tense thing," the True Blood actress told Larry King when he asked if she was a "non-practicing" bisexual.

"Are you still straight if you're with somebody? It doesn't mean you're not [bisexual]—if you were to break up with them or you were to die. It doesn't prevent your sexuality from existing. It doesn't really work like that."

Gillian Anderson

"I was in a relationship with a girl for a long time when I was in high school," The X-Files star told Out in 2011.

Lady Gaga

Gaga has been out as bi since a 2009 interview with Barbara Walters: "Well, I do like women," revealed Mother Monster. "I've certainly had sexual relationships with women."

Tom Hardy

In 2012, the hunky English actor told the Daily Mail he'd had sexual encounters with other men. "I’ve played with everything and everyone. I love the form and the physicality."

Sadly, he elaborated, "now that I’m in my 30s, it doesn’t do it for me. I’m done experimenting.”

Michelle Rodriguez

"I've never walked the carpet with anyone, so they wonder: 'What does she do with her vagina?'" The Fast and Furious star told Entertainment Weekly. "I've gone both ways. I do as I please. I am too fucking curious to sit here and not try when I can. Men are intriguing. So are chicks."

Marlon Brando

“Like a large number of men, I, too, have had homosexual experiences and I am not ashamed," the legendary actor once revealed. "I have never paid much attention to what people think about me.”

Megan Fox

"I think people are born bisexual and then make subconscious choices based on the pressures of society," Fox told Esquire in 2009. "I have no question in my mind about being bisexual."

Billie Joe Armstrong

"I think I've always been bisexual," the Green Day front man told the Advocate in 1995. "I mean, it's something that I've always been interested in. I think everybody kind of fantasizes about the same sex.... It's ingrained in our heads that it's bad, when it's not bad at all. It's a very beautiful thing."

Angelina Jolie

"I was open about [my bisexuality] because I wanted people to know that I had been with a woman," explained Jolie. "I spoke about it because I'd discovered something wonderful and I thought people should know my experience was very real—and very normal."

Evan Rachel Wood

Asked by a fan on Twitter if her marriage to Jamie Bell meant she wasn't bisexual anymore, the Westworld star replied, "No. It just means i am not single anymore."

David Bowie

The Thin White Duke backed away from his bi status in the 1980s, but once upon a time he declared "It's true—I am a bisexual. But I can't deny that I've used that fact very well. I suppose it's the best thing that ever happened to me. Fun, too."

Sia

The Australian hit maker married filmmaker Erik Anders Lang in 2015, but previously dated JD Samson of Le Tigre.

Margaret Cho

"I'm bisexual," Cho told the ladies of The Real in 2013. "I just can't decide. I just want to have sex with everybody."
