Rufus Wainwright's Brokeback Video Premiere!

200x200_rufus1 At the risk of tooting our own horns, there are some super-cool video premieres and music exclusives heading your way on Logo and LOGOonline.com.

For starters, this Sunday, March 26th, on the music video show NewNowNext Music (airing at midnight), Logo will spring forth the world premiere video airing of Rufus Wainwright’s “The Maker Makes” from the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack, which features the openly gay crooner performing the tune, interspersed with footage from the film. Rufus fans will also be giddy to learn that the singer will be interviewed throughout the show, gabbing about the song and his music. It’s a Rufuspalooza!

Coming on the heels of Wainwright’s killer performance at this past Monday night’s "Bring 'Em Home Now!" concert for peace in NYC (many considered his onstage turn as the best of the night), and with his outlandishly fabulous Judy Garland tribute concert coming on June 14th and 15th to Carnegie Hall, it seems like we’re in the midst of a Rufus Renaissance at the moment. Which works quite nicely, thanks.

More on other big gay music premieres on Logo coming later today…
