Need a "Doll?"

Broadway star Kevin Cahoon is striking. He’s got a big mouth, big eyes, a big voice--and a big presence. His super-uniqueness (and his massive performing talent) have snagged him gigs onstage (as the creeeepy child-catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and as Hedwig, for starters), and he’s currently glamming it up in The Wedding Singer (as the painted up, androgynous keyboard-playing George-- a role played in the 1998 film by Alexis Arquette, who Cahoon kind of looks like!). And this weekend you can catch him on Logo’s NewNowNext Music show (yes, it’s like our TV sibling, sort of) where the video for Kevin Cahoon and Ghetto Cowboy’s single “Doll” is gonna premiere. It’s a catchy, rocking tune about being the “fag” picked on in school. And an eye-lined Cahoon struts, pouts, and really puts it out there in this ranty gay clip! His solo rock debut, the album, Doll--which he’s called “a pop album for the undergod,” hit stores this past week.
Other cool new music videos to look out for this weekend on the show: Sensitive pop-crooner-in-a-knit-hat Daniel Powter’s “Bad Day”: the sleazy-fun Body Rockers’ grunty “I Like the Way You Move” (okay, not so new... but still fun); Mates of State’s “Fraud in the 80’s”--a brilliantly melodic, electronic zinger; “El Manana,” from Gorillaz; and Mariah’s latest “Say Something” featuring Snoop Dogg!
Clue in on Sunday at midnight.
