Will the real Morris Brown please stand up?!? Outkast returns!

FUN WITH OUTKAST!
I'm loving the new Outkast video for "Morris Brown." It's a very busy, sound-packed tune. And the video is like some Willy Wonka-esque joyride through happy town! Pink Cadillacs, poodles, singing flowers, ferris wheels and roller coasters. Watch it!

MORE JT COMING YOUR WAY
Justin Timberlake is launching a small club tour, starting next week in Southern California as Arjan reports. And Perez has the new tune, "My Love," from his forthcoming album that you can hear. And yes, JT's gonna perform on the VMA's, too.

CUTS LIKE THE KNIFE
Have you clued in to The Knife yet? They're a Swedish duo (siblings, even) who deliver intoxicating electronica that's moody, strange, dark, catchy and rather brilliant. Their latest, Silent Shout, came out earlier this year, complete with a spooky new video. But I came across this older video for the tune "Pass It On" from the band's 2004 album, Deep Cuts. It's very odd and kind of excellent.

MASH-UPS: THE NEXT GENERATION
Wanna hear some insane crazy mash-up kind of mixes that take it all to an entirely new level? Imagine about 100 songs slivered and pressed into a speedy, rampaging, 3-minute party-starting tune. Then you'll have the idea of Girl Talk (aka DJ/mixer Gregg Gillis). He can somehow slam Elastica into Ciara into The Breeders into LCD Soundsystem into Earth, Winde & Fire--all at once! Just go to his site and listen... Madness!

GAY BALLET
The Ballet describes themselves as "4 queers, 3 chords and 100 melodies." They've also adopted the term "sissy pop band"as a moniker which kind of fits too. I'm digging their catchy, twangy-meet-chirpy ballads and tunes. They kind of fall between the Magnetic Fields and Tilly and the Wall; or Belle & Sebastian after too much cotton candy. They've just put the finishing touches on their latest disc, Mattachine, which they're selling at their shows. And the next show is in Brooklyn at Pete's Candy Store on September 2nd. Have a listen if you like...

MTV: 25 AND OVER
MTV's 25th anniversary kicked off yesterday, as if you hadn't heard. And you can go watch the entire first hour that MTV ever broadcast, with even commercials and everything on MTV Overdrive. (Check the amazing Mountain Dew ad that pops up early... And there's an amazing Atari ad, too.) And yes, Pat Benatar, Rod Stewart, The Who, The Pretenders, Styx and so on... Pretty amazing. Madonna had best be grateful.

HAPPY, TWIRLY KYLIE: SHE LOVES JAKE SHEARS, TOO!
Scissor Sister Jake Shears got press on Monday for gabbing about how much he loves Kylie Minogue. Well, I love her too. Especially after seeing these totally cute pics of her hitting the premiere of the dance troupe Brasil Brasileiro yesterday in London. She looks amazing! And happy! Hooray! Check her out!

Whoa--that's one happy Kylie! Adorable!

In fact, she's so happy she's gonna twirl!

There she goes...

Spin, Kylie, spin!

Cute! Whenever you're ready to resume touring, we're there!
