Goldfrapp Glitters

A quick post here: Today the Goldfrapp remix album, We Are Glitter hits stores. It features new tweaks of tunes from their killer 2005 release Supernature. And it's pretty special with talents like DFA, The Flaming Lips, Francois K, Mum and others taking on the electro-glittery tracks.
So far my favorite is Francois K's totally gay-housey take on "Ride A White Horse." It's very sweaty, hands-in-the-air, dark and dirty dance floor seriousness. But I also like the manic energy of Benny Benassi's extended remix of "Ooh La La." It's really gay, too. And some of the other remixes are less dark and dancey, and way more ethereal and arty. Like the Mum remix of "Number 1" or the Flaming Lips take on "Satin Chic." Gorgeous!
Give it a spin when you're planning your next frenetic/funky glitter-fueled get together. And if you're in NYC, check out the galloping glamazons in person tomorrow night at Roseland.
Stay gold(frapp).
