New Jersey Is For Gay Lovers?

450x300_njpersonwsign_1
Supporters raise signs yesterday during a post-ruling rally yesterday in Trenton, New Jersey. Hurrah!

WEDDING MUSIC
"New Jersey Is for Gay Lovers," says Rolling Stone. And they’ve come up with a playlist to celebrate! And yes, they also mention the oncoming spectre of gay divorce. Har!

A LESS PERFECT "UNION"
Writer John Cloud has a good, critical editorial in Time about the most recent gay "civil union" ruling. He's still waiting for "equal" rights.

MR. & MR. McGREEVEY
Former Jersey governor, Jim McGreevey’s all set for the gay altar. After he gets that divorce, of course.

FAMILY ALBUM
And lastly, wanna feel warm and fuzzy—and indignant, and convinced about how gay folks should be able to marry? Go to this NY Times article, scroll down the page a bit and click and watch the audio slideshow, “Love and Marriage.” You’ll see pics and hear from two plaintiffs in the lawsuit that brought about this decision. Cindy and Maureen have been together for 32 years (they met in high school!), and their story is beautiful in its simplicity, in its integrity and honesty. They rule.
