Scissor Sisters Take NYC!

Jake Shears: Gettin' chesty onstage in NYC this past weekend...

Yes, I post a lot about the Scissor Sisters on this blog, and today they're back! Just thought I'd give fans a head's up to some great pics from this past weekend's show at the Manhattan Center Ballroom. Awesome photographer Kevin Tachman has lots of shots from the night; a few are below, and you can view more on his Flickr page.

The show was as big, buoyant and bodacious as you'd expect. Anderson Cooper (who sees them constantly) was in the house, and Jake stripped down to a shiny wrestling singlet by show's end (as has become his custom). He also destroyed a fake boa during a number, confessing before the crowd: "I hate feather boas!" Who knew? The band was also joined by a recuperated drummer Paddy Boom, who'd missed a few shows due to a back injury.

The Sisters are off to the U.K. for a tour for most of November. So enjoy these pics for now! Thanks, Kevin!
