Yep, Anna Nicole Smith has died. We'll find out more in the next day or so, of course. But it's sad, in a lot of ways. Scarily, she was sort of the ultimate post-millennial celebrity. She became famous as a pretty face, then as a mess, then as a reality TV star, then as a courtroom star, and then (or always) as a tabloid star.

No doubt more will unfold about this. And about her boyfriend/lawyer, Howard K. Stern. And, of course she lost her son this past year, and...
