Grizzly Bear's "Knife" Video (It's Creepy! And Cool!)

Ed (out in front) and the boys of Grizzly Bear get neck-deep in weirdness in their gorgeously shot new video!
Brooklyn’s Grizzly Bear, the ambient/rock/moody-pop guys led by gay dude Ed Droste and whose album, Yellow House, ended up on some “best of 2006” lists at the end of the year, have released a video for their single “Knife.” I love the song; it’s beautiful and ethereally romantic, but with a really solid, melodic structure.
And the video? It’s crrrraaazzzy. It’s beautifully filmed and will most likely kind of creep you out with all the weirdly dismorphic things going on in it. There are fleshy bits, and large anal-looking cavities in the desert and big contraptions that mulch up squidgy sausage bits and...


See? This odd desert rock/shiny bejeweled beast pulls some crystals out of an orifice, and then they sink down into the chest of the bearded guy. And then it really gets interesting!
