Today sees the big release of the new lesbian/bisexual/just-all-around-frisky film Puccini for Beginners. It’s about a woman whose girlfriend leaves her, then she gets involved with a guy, and then a girl, and then she finds out that her new guy and girl used to be together. Gack!

And there’s great opera music involved, charmingly cinematic NYC settings and witty banter galore. The film stars Elizabeth Reaser, Gretchen Mol and Justin Kirk, and you can read a good review of it here. And you can watch a trailer and scenes here.
