QBoy Raps for Young U.K. Gays

450x300_qboywood
U.K. rapper QBoy is joining forces with England's Channel 4 to educate the youngters via podcasts. Woot woot!

QBoy is a rapper from the U.K. who’s been working the rap/pop biz for a bit now. He’s cheeky and up-front and pretty fun.(Think a gay take on The Streets, perhaps. Or a British Cazwell?) And QBoy’s “doin’ it for the kids” this week.

Meaning, since the Brits are often a bit more progressive with some matters regarding gayness, this week one of the big mainstream TV and radio networks in the U.K., Channel 4, is sponsoring its own “Gay Teen Sexuality Week” in which they’re offering podcasts (via Channel 4 Radio) all about being a gay teen and the issues that brings. QBoy’s hosting the podccasts, which you can get via Channel 4’s site. (You just have to quickly register, and then you’re good to go.)

Perhaps one of the things QBoy will advise the kids is about the importance of wearing clean underwear. A practice he seems fond of promoting personally.

And of course, you can hear QBoy's tunes on his site, and you can watch some QBoy's video clips if ya want, too (yep, hit MySpace). AND, he's going to be traveling with Deadlee and other homo rappers on the HomoRevolution Tour that takes on the American Southwest starting on March 29th.

Peace.

Some people think that we choose to be gay but we dont just wake up one morning and say im going to be gay we cant control our feels and we cant control the people we love whether it is of the same sex of of the opposite.

It's about time that the issue of homophobia was taken seriously in schools, it has been ignored for far too long. The effect of constant homophobia at school can severly damage self worth, grades and later life. Great work Qboy and channel 4
