Rosie O'Donnell looked pretty great at the GLAAD Awards in NYC last night (and so did her spouse Kelli). And her documentary film, "All Aboard: Rosie's Family Cruise" which aired on HBO won the Outstanding Documentary Award, too. And she graciously, and loudly thanked the masses assembled.

But earlier, she served up more of the Rosie we know (and kinda love) as she was working the red carpet and the VIP cocktail reception. But let me back up...

Former Gucci honcho and all-around design guru Tom Ford was on hand, and looked good last night. He was at the GLAAD fest to receive the Vito Russo Award (which celebrates visionary types who've served the gay-land for years and years). Here's a pic of him with a nice lady GLAAD person/helper when he walked in.

Then, 2 seconds later, Rosie O'Donnell and her crew passed by. Ro stopped, sees Ford and exclaims, "Hey... I know you, you're that designer guy!" Ford graciously extends his hand and introduces himself. Rosie then says something to the effect of, "Oh... I thought at first you were that guy from the Blow Out hair-styling TV show... That Jonathan Antin guy!" Ummm... no. Tom Ford would be one of the most influential, well-known style icons in the entire world, who basically revamped Gucci and YSL and invented modern sexy style as we know it. And he's still super-nice and polite. Yee-haw! (Plus, he's got more hair than I think he used to. Which looks foxy.)

"Hey! You're that designer guy!" sez Ro.

It's funny when celebs meet and don't know each other. Ford is all cool with that.

Of course, this also came after Rosie encountered lesbian fitness diva/reality show star Jackie Warner (of Work Out fame) on the red carpet. Passing by Warner, Rosie stopped and said loudly to Warner: "I'm scared of you! And your girlfriend. You terrify me!" Jackie seemed stunned for a minute, and then offered: "I'm not with her any more!" But Rosie had decided. "I'm scared of you!"

Yay. I love it when celebs fuss and scrap. Fun!

Meanwhile, back in the VIP lounge, John Waters seems smittened with Ford. Who can blame him!??
