Listen to Carrie Underwood's Carnival Ride Stream - She's So Lovable!

Slant magazine complained that Carrie Underwood, on her sophomore album Carnival Ride, is "nothing more or less than pleasant." I have to strongly disagree with those haters, and I don't even like country music or American Idol...this girl is fantastic! Carnival Ride, which came out Tuesday, is streaming on AOL.com, and you should really give it a chance.

Carrie, who won Season 5 of American Idol, has made the headlines for, along with her six-times platinum debut album and five Number 1 singles, possibly-dating Gossip Girl's Chase Crawford and for Faith Hill's nasty reaction to Carrie winning Female Vocalist of the Year at last year's Country Music Association awards. But Carrie really does have the vocals to back all the attention up - despite what Faith Hill thinks.

And I really like Carnival Ride and it doesn't even sound that country to me (not that I'm knowledgeable about country music); it sounds more like a great pop musician with a country twang to her voice.

Check my track picks, video clips of Carrie's killer Idol performance and Faith after the jump!

So like I was sayin', I feel like Carnival Ride is more of a strong pop album (with some really great hooks), with a little country flavor thrown-in - and I'm totally cool with that - and Carrie's vocals make the whole package special.

My favorite tracks, other than the album's lead single, "So Small," are definitely "I Know You Won't," for Carrie's amazing singing (I didn't know she was this good) and "The More Boys I Meet," mostly for its lyrics. On this track, Carrie complains she can't find the right guy, despite giving everyone a chance, singing, "I close my eyes and I kiss that frog...The more boys I meet, the more I love my dog."

The first track of the CD, “Flat on the Floor,” is kind of kick-butt-country, if that's a legit term, and reminds me of something Pink (or P!nk) would sing. "Just a Dream," about a young girl in a small town whose boyfriend goes off to war and dies, is...OK, and for "All American Girl," which was one of the more "country" tracks to me, Carrie told EW she hits the highest note she possibly can. Hmm.

Another great one is "Get Out of This Town"... just a fun, let's-go-on-a-road-trip track made special (again) by Carrie's singing.

So you definitely will want to watch the video below...and keep your eye on Faith! (And I don't think she was kidding...)

OK, Faith, you think she's not deserving? Just watch this clip of Carrie singing "Alone" by Heart on American Idol. And also listen to Simon's criticism...I'd like to see you top that, Faith!

Oh my God, Faith was kidding. Jeeeeeezus. She's got a hot-ass husband, about twenty Grammys, three beautiful daughters, and she's sold a bajillion Grammys. Don't really think she cares that much about some stupid CMA Award. Get over it.

But Carvinal Ride is an AWESOME record. Go Carrie!
