Video Lunch: Britney Spears - "Gimme More"

We've all seen Britney attempting to be a stripper for her "Gimme More" video a thousand times by now (OK, maybe that's just me), but come on, you know you like that song...and it'll get you back into Britney Mode before you listen to her full Blackout album, streaming on LOGOonline right now!
Yup, Britney's fifth studio album got pushed up to October 30, but you can listen to the whole thing today - and I actually can't recommend it enough. I'm pretty obsessed with it; it's just so much better than those online leaks (and Britney herself, lately - let's be honest) made it out to be.
But as far as the "Gimme More" video...although it's an improvement from Britney's VMAs performance of the track, she can definitely do better (Check my and LOGOonline Producer Jon Mallow's take on the video in last week's NNN Noise vlog!)
My take on Blackout...after the jump!
Listening to Blackout, I'll say it again, it's just so much better and so much more produced than Britney's behavior and that ridiculously low-budget cover art had me thinking it was going to be. There are some tracks that are just as good as anything Britney's ever done: "Break the Ice" (which I had heard before, actually) is definitely an early favorite...I've read that some thought this should have been the album's lead single, as opposed to "Gimme More." (Let's not go crazy - "Gimme More" is fierce.)
My favorites of the album are "Naked (I Got a Plan)" and "Freakshow"...both with titles kind of befitting Britney's life lately...and both really high-energy, catchy, funky tracks- they're def on my party mix. I feel a little weird hearing Britney talk about going out and having sex now, though (even thought I shouldn't).
As far as "Toy Soldier," Britney's voice sounds whiny and irritating during the refrain, but the verses and the overall beat are great - almost Kylie-ish. I also appreciated the lines, "I’m holdin' that attention because new Britney’s on a mission. / I bet he wish he knew the type of fun I’m getting into."
The album does kind of fizzle out at the end, although it was funny to hear Britney obviously reference K-Fed on the last track, "Why Should I Be Sad" ("I sent you to Vegas with a pocket full of paper / and with no ultimatums on you"), but the song itself is pretty forgettable...and "Hot as Ice" is just god-awful.
But overall, I'm impressed and pleasantly surprised...which I'm really not used to saying about Ms. Spears lately!

Can you please help me try to figure out how to use this video?
I cannot seem to get it to work. www.britneyvideosite.com

I think Britney is making a great effort at a comeback here, and I respect that she's climbing above the mire of the negative press that she constantly receives.
