Watch New Common Video, "I Want You"...Loaded with Cameos!

Common is just so cool ... and even though his latest music video takes itself super-seriously, I'd say the longtime rapper can pull it off. Common also pulled off recruiting some seriously A-list cameos for this single, the third from his album, Finding Forever. The video premiered yesterday on BET's 106 and Park and on AOL.

Will.I.Am produced the "I Want You" track (even though he doesn't make an appearance), and Kerry Washington co-directed the vid - which features Alicia Keys, Kerry Washington, Serena Williams, Kanye West and Derek Luke (and his wife) ... whew! Very impressive...and there's something so fun about seeing these celebs playing minor characters in a music video.

 

So Common, being the irresistible class-act that he is, has both Kerry Washington and Alicia Keys vying for his affection. To Kerry's dismay, it looks like Common goes with Alicia (who, by the way, acted with Common in Smokin' Aces). The whole concept for the video, apparently, drew from the 1986 movie 9 1/2 Weeks, starring Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger.
