2007 Holiday Gift Guide: Happy ThanksGrooming!

"Dad, I might wanna borrow your new aftershave in about 16 years or so... That cool?"

I like getting grooming supplies as gifts. Mainly, it keeps me from trudging to the store to restock, but who doesn't love some good product, eh? And you can't dispute the good will (as well as lovely thank you’s and praise) you'll get when you give some nice gentleman friend (or anybody who likes good product) one of the cool kits from the California-based Baxter. I’ve been using their stuff for a couple of years now, and it’s always great. Stylishly packaged, not exorbitantly pricey and it smells fresh and kind of old-school masculine, but not overwhelming at all.

Giftwise, the easy way to go is to grab one of their 1.2.3 kits, which combine three products in a convenient package.

You can opt for their Shave 1.2.3. Kit, which goes for $60 (yep, it’s nice like that). Included in this comes a totally gorgeous badger hair travel shaving brush (’cuz you know badgers travel well), a 10oz. bottle of their Super Close Shave Formula (it’s got that bracing tea tree oil in it, plus witch hazel, menthol and peppermint—mmmm...) and their alcohol-free After Shave Balm, which hydrates and nourishes your skin with aloe vera and other soothing elements.

More grooming goods after the jump!

EVERYBODY loves a good shave. Right, ladies?

If you wanna keep it basic, get the Skin Care 1.2.3. Kit, which goes for about $40. It gets you Baxter’s Cleanse: Daily Face Wash, which is has mild cleansers and coconut and plant extracts. It cleans, but it's gentle. You also get their Herbal Mint Toner, which hydrates and tones your skin. And then comes the Hydrate: Oil-Free Moisturizer, that’s full of vitamins and herbal extracts (green tea, aloe, chamomile), which protects against cell damage (which is good, right?) and “free radicals” (not sure what those are, but I’m sure you don’t want them attacking your face).

It's another tasteful box with nice skin supplies inside. Merry, merry!

You can order Baxter stuff from BaxterofCalifornia.com, or via Beauty.com, which has zillions of other great grooming, gifty ideas, too.
