Gay-Related Movies at Sundance 2008

Sundance Festival kicked off in Utah yesterday, and thanks to some tips from Queer Lounge, the gay-films-promoting non-profit, I learned 22 out of the festival's 125 movies are queer-related. Not bad!
Check out the full gay movie list here. ... And that's Peter Sarsgaard lookin' all shirtless and mountain-man in one of Queer Lounge's picks, Mysteries of Pittsburgh.

This sounds like a juicy one! Sienna Miller being in the movie isn't even ruining it for me! Filmmakers based Mysteries on Michael Chabon's debut novel, and the guy on the right (played by Jon Foster) is the totally gay son of a mobster (Nick Nolte), who finds himself in a gay-boy, straight-girl, bi-boy love triangle.
Sadly though, I believe sexy Peter Sarsgaard plays Sienna's boyfriend and not a point in the triangle. Dern...

Derek
This one's actually a documentary narrated by Tilda Swinton (above); she first worked with filmmaker Derek Jarman in his movie, Caravaggio.
The documentary chronicles the life of the British artist, who expressed his queer-sensibilities in controversial art and movies, such as his '76 film, Sebastiane, which depicted Roman soldiers having sex with each other. Jarman, who was also a gay-rights activist, died of AIDS complications in 1994.

The Guitar
So this girl Mel only has a few months to live, for whatever reason, and she kind of blows all her money to live out her fantasies - one of which is hooking up with the pizza-delivery girl! "Strum me like ... a guitar!" (...Sorry, too much Janet lately.)

(l-r) Saffron Burrows plays Mel, Amy Redford directs (yup, she's Robert's daughter) and Paz de la Huerta plays that delivery girl we were talkin' about.

It's Emily Blunt! I love it already! OK, calm down. ... All I really know about this one is Emily plays a crime-scene cleaner who becomes obsessed with a female blood-bank technician. Sounds good.
It sounds a good movie. I have ever seen the gay movie "Brokeback Mountain", it's good. We all besexual at the site (bimingle.com) love this kind of movie for gay, lesbian, But there seems to be littler for bisexual. We hope there will be one for us bisexual one day.
