Scary Thriller Makeover on the Way

We knew he was no stranger to cosmetic enhancements, but this operation might just be, well, off the wall.
In honor of its silver anniversary, Michael Jackson has opted to undertake reconstructive surgery on Thriller, the best-selling album of all time and arguably the blueprint for an entire generation of 80s pop and video stars.
Thriller 25, which will be released on February 12, is slated to include remakes, unreleased songs and remixes with help from Kanye West, Fergie, will.i.am, Akon and Paul McCartney.
Find a frightening assessment of Thriller 25 after the jump!
Akon assists with a new version of "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin," while Fergie lends her skills to "Beat It," and West remixes "Billie Jean."
The verdict?
At least these remakes render more intelligible some perpetually elusive lyrics like "ma ma se, ma ma sa, ma ma coo sa." Who knows? Maybe that ex-Beatle can save the yellow submarine from sinking with his contribution, "The Girl is Mine." Otherwise, stick with the original Thriller.
That album, Jackson's sixth studio effort, sold more than 100 million copies, generated an Grammy Award-winning video of the same name, and ensured that Weird Al Yankovic would enjoy a career as a parody artist, rather than becoming your gynecologist.

Question is, does Jackson mean to pass off Thriller 25 as his long-rumored album of new material? Or will there be more to anticipate after this Frankenstein?
Who cares?
