Video Lunch: Bjork - "Declare Independence"

Bjorkdeclareindependencevideo

Bjork's  Volta album is a mega-hit with the entire world, but gays love her in disproportionate amounts.  I need to jump on the wagon; I don't quite...get her. The video for "Declare Independence" actually hit the Web last month, and I do enjoy its concept - courtesy of French director Michel Gondry.

Bjork "connects" with her military audience, calling them to "raise their own flag," and incites stomping and trance-y excitement. It's cool, but it feels sinister at times - especially with Bjork's scary hissing. ...Or maybe I'm just remembering how she kicks peoples' asses at airports.

Watch the video after the jump...

And here's a special "Declare Independence" behind-the-scenes clip with the director, Michel Gondry - via Spinner.com ...
