Goldfrapp’s next single is called "Happiness," but Alison's scoff of Kylie Minogue and Madonna makes me feel something called "Hatred." – Boy Culture
It turns out Project Runway runner-up Rami Kashou’s "friend" Tim Gunn met was, in fact, the designer’s boyfriend. - HX
Break me off a piece of that Jesse Brune! The Work Out foodie/hottie will be on April’s Instinct. - Instinct
Britney Spears looks like her old self on the set of How I Met Your Mother ... what gives? – Dlisted
Details is still not a gay magazine ... despite this comparison to The Advocate ... and in other news, Ryan Seacrest is on the new cover. - Queerty
I can’t express how much I love Charlize Theron. Please watch her call the MTV movie guy a mother-f*cker and Jason Bateman a talentless hack with a tight ass. – Gawker

Anyone (if there is anyone)
who has been following my blog regularly over the past few weeks might
have noticed that there have been, well, rather a lot of references
to the totally trashy teen soap Gossip Girl.
Now, I will readily admit that
a large part of my interest in this show comes from the relationship
between the main two female characters, Blair Waldorf and Serena van
der Woodsen (played respectively by Leighton Meester and Blake
Lively, pictured below in a shoot for this month’s issue of
Vogue).
But even if it wasn’t for
all the chemistry between Blair and Serena, there’s a reason I might
still be watching. Sarah and Lori may have declared themselves
in favor of Blake,
but for me it’s all about the lovely Leighton (who, although she plays
a teen on the show, fortunately turns 22 in April):

Can you feel the love tonight? In one of those irresistible marriages of pop culture and politics, this morning it was announced that Sir Elton John will appear in a rare solo performance for presidential contender Hillary Clinton on April 9 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
Tickets for the event, called "Elton and Hillary: One Night Only," will go on sale this Wednesday at 9 a.m. Look for seat prices from the kind of affordable to the astronomical.
Then ask yourself, does this merger of two gay icons mean that Clinton's a candidate in the wind where the queers are concerned, or does it suggest that the bitch is back?
You don't know Michelle? Well, now's your chance: John Polly chatted up the girls - and guy - in Brooklyn before their crazy-hot performance. omg MICHELLE! - follow that link to hear the amazing "You Don't Know Michelle" track - consists of longtime friends Alisa, Chaydha, Helen, Melanie and Tami, along with gay producer/DJ Kingdom.
The group had plenty to say on its crunk-'90s-Atlanta-Latin-just-about-everything sound ... and they pick the gayest member of a very queer group.

There are some folks that no matter how much Dramamine they take find the thought of a Rosie O'Donnell video blog post nauseating; well stock up kiddies because to top it all off, her latest vlog is set on the high seas and has some camera work that puts Cloverfield and Blair Witch to shame.
Thankfully a newly out and proud young man is onboard to settle our stomachs! It looks like American Idol castoff Danny Noriega was thrown a life vest and that Rosie delivered on her video blog promise of taking the Tainted Loverboy along.
For some reason I can't stop wondering if young Danny will be forced to sketch Rosie with nothing but The Heart of the Ocean necklace on while pounding his chest and belting out "My Heart Will Go On" over and over again.
Good for Danny Noriega! I'm glad he took Rosie up on her offer and that he's getting the chance to broaden his horizons and be exposed to a loving, supporting (if not captive) audience. Plus, he's sailing with AfterElton Vlogger and Comedian Ant and Ross "The Intern" Mathews!
Since Janet Jackson has this winter's dreaded flu - I shudder to remember it... - Mariah Carey snagged our girl's scheduled spot on Saturday Night Live ... just in time to promote her new MC2 album, due April 15. Here we have Mariah performing lead single "Touch My Body," and while I can only hear her at the end when she does her diva warbles - which are fab, as always - I still dig her sexy, campy showing.
Mariah's also set to guest judge American Idol this week. Those lucky kids!
Catch Mariah performing another MC2 single, "Migrate" featuring T-Pain, after the jump...

When I was a kid, I watched
a lot of Saturday morning television — Hong Kong Phooey, Underdog,
Krofft Superstars, etc. But even though I've outgrown (most) children's
TV, I never fully broke the weekend morning TV habit. My guilty pleasure
of late has been watching Beverly Hills
90210 on SOAPnet
on weekend mornings.
(Right now they're in the college
years, and I keep enjoying little nuggets inspired by the year that
Darren Star and I overlapped at UCLA.)
So you'd think I'd be excited
about the news I heard the other day — a spin-off of 90210 is reportedly in the
works. But, you
know, I wasn't so much. In fact, I thought it sounded like a pretty
stupid idea. (As Dlisted.com said, “9021-NOOOOOO!!!!”) The show ended eight years ago.
(And it should have ended at least 10 years ago.)

Last week on American Idol the top 12 contestants sang Beatles tunes, and Jim & Penny have a field day dishing on Chikezie's triumph, David Archuleta's crash & burn, the untimely passing of David Hernandez, Amanda Overmyer's Beetlejuice pants, and Kristy Lee Cook's frenetic banjo butchery of "Eight Days a Week" They also open up the viewer mail bag. It's a fun week on Idol Chat.
Check out their video blog after the break!

The Human Rights Campaign Gala in Los Angeles played host to lovely gay and gay-loving celebrities Saturday - including Anne Hathaway, here with HRC president, Joe Solmonese. As if The Devil Wears Prada and her open love for her gay brother didn't give Anne enough gay cred - check out Queerty's interview with Anne Hathaway. She comments on that hateful Sally Kern and her first exposure to anti-gay sentiments...
"...around middle school, when people start throwing around things like 'Gay,' or 'You’re so gay' or 'You’re a faggot.' And I remember not
understanding what they were trying to say by that and being weirded
out by people who would say things like that. I would always speak up
and people would usually tell me to 'lighten up,' but I still don’t
think that’s the right attitude to take.
And what's this? Nia Vardalos from My Big Fat Greek Wedding? Wonderful! And lesbian Top Chef Cat Cora ... I loved her back in her Melting Pot Food Network days. What a night!
More celebs at the HRC ... after the jump!

He let her drive his truck? That is so messed up. This is the fourth single from 18-year-old Taylor Swift's debut - but it's actually the first song I ever bothered to listen to. Eek! People said it sounded like Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" - that's one hell of a compliment, little girl - so I had to try it out. It's definitely the poor man's, but I still enjoy it: It's kind of talk-y, and Taylor's all youthful and unpretentious.
