Madonna’s "4 Minutes" – which, after a couple of listens, I officially am obsessed with - is on iTunes, while Hard Candy is ready for pre-order. My gayness is tingling! - Boy Culture
The world is stunned Britney Spears was actually totally fine on How I Met Your Mother - watch the full episode here.

Hands off my man, Penelope! Enjoy shameless, grainy pictures of Javier Bardem being all shirtless and romantic. - Just Jared
You know I love the Pussycat Dolls to this day, and Nicole Scherzinger's in the studio for a new song - possibly for the group - called "Psycho." P.S. Did Ron Fair really weep for Ashlee Simpson? - ONTD
A handy diagram of ambiguously-gay duo Chace Crawford and JC Chasez chillin' at their Cabana. ... This isn't a marketing ploy, is it? - Towleroad

In the latest edition of AfterElton.com's "That's ANTertainment!" video blog, gay comedian/personality/athletic supporter ANT vlogged his recent sojourn on Rosie's most recent gay-packed cruise.
Hear about Ross the Intern's willingness to eat seared Unicorn, but not fish, American Idol alum Danny Noriega's singing performance, tiny staterooms, fruit flies and much more with Cyndi Lauper, Sam Harris, and Susan Powter.

The return of The Hills last night was a big eff-ing deal, and don't try to tell me it wasn't just because you don't watch the show or because it's not actually real.
We'll talk about the show later - our vlog will be up tomorrow morning! - but a highlight of MTV's live premiere party - for which it seemed like they were getting paid every time someone said "glamorous" - was definitely Mariah Carey's post-show performance...
And watch her classic "We Belong Together" after the jump!

It's a big political year in
the U.S., and after the Democratic Convention this summer, I'll be stumping
for either Hillary or Obama. But in the meantime, I'm stumping for somebody
else — Dolly Parton. Now, Dolly is not running for President
— or any political office, for that matter — but she does have a campaign
to get back on country radio, and she needs our support.
Dolly's certainly doing her
part. After 10 years with no major label support, she decided to release a mainstream country album, Backwoods Barbie, on her own label, Dolly Records. As
she put it, “I'm looking at it like an investment. I thought, 'I've
made enough money. I can afford to invest a little in myself.”

I know ... it's a Spencer-Heidi double-hitter. Too early for this kind of pain? These The Hills stars are serious about the music biz, though: Spencer compared Heidi's music to Madonna's, so listen to "No More" via People and - um - see if he's right.
I'm not sure if singing credits go to the Vocoder or to Heidi herself, but I mean, with brilliant lyrics like these...
'I bet you want me back / But when I cry myself to sleep, where are you at?'
Now for your second dose, those geniuses over at Radar gave Spencer his own advice column called Yo Spencer! - and the first edition is up. It's everything I could have hoped for! I had to pick just one segment, but here goes...

Stick a fork in her: The
Bionic Woman is done. What? She’s bionic; she’ll heal fast.
Rumors of the show’s demise persisted for months, but its status
remained in seemingly eternal limbo, thanks to the writers' strike. While
NBC has yet to officially pronounce the show DOA, last week Bionic
co-executive producer David Eick confirmed the cancellation
to Sci Fi Wire,
dashing the hopes of its dozens and dozens of remaining fans.
Now, I realize this news is
probably, well, duh to anyone who watched even a couple of episodes.
The incredible hype surrounding the freshman series fizzled to a barely
audible meh as the season progressed. Eick attributes the failure
to the show never coming together as hoped:
“I just felt that
the process was so frustrating, and the conditions under which we were
making that show never really came to fruition in such a way that I
felt like we could make the show well. The actress (Michelle Ryan)
we found was wonderful. Some of the writing was good.”

Last week on American Idol the contestants were forced to dip into the Beatles catalog again - with very mixed results. Jim Verraros and Penny Frulla talk about the performances and also why they think a closeted gay contestant would benefit by coming out while on the show. Jim and Penny also open up the viewer mail bag. It's a fun week on Idol Chat.
Check out their video blog after the break!

Amy Winehouse's little sister? No, it's Tennessee power-pop band Paramore and its new Riot! single. I can't say I'm crazy about the song, but I can say I have a crush on those Farro brothers. We need more of them. By the way, they're not breaking up.
I also can't say what's happening in this video - I just picked up on hipsters and cell-phone product placement - but it looks like the crew is genuinely having fun, which has some merit for me.
