From Outsports comes more details about the party rugby star Ben Cohen is throwing to celebrate his many gay fans. Tickets for BENediction are on sale for the May 28th event in London, and can be purchased on BEN-COHEN.COM with proceeds going to help support Orchid Male Cancer research and Northamptonshire and Warwickshire Air Ambulance.
"Moving away from the more traditional rugby testimonial theme, the Ben Cohen Testimonial Committee is holding a ground breaking event at The Dorchester in London,” his publicist Jill Tipping said. “BENediction is an exclusive evening of fun, feasting and frivolity aimed primarily at including his legions of fans in the gay community in the testimonial celebrations.”
Guests are promised a “whole host of treats and surprises making this event a real one off and not to be missed. Ben Cohen fans need to make sure that they reserve their places quickly as they are expected to snapped up fast,”
So what can fans expect? According to his website:
Drinks on Arrival
Meet Ben and some of his Rugby colleagues and celebrity guests
Enjoy a four course meal with wine
Bid for unique, never seen before, Ben Cohen auction items
Enter the 'most outrageous waistcoat competition' and win a special prize presented by Ben

Unique BENediction merchandise available on the night
Entertainment from unusual celebrities

Dance away until carriages at 1am AND.... Be part of the launch of something 'very special'
Well, if I lived in London, I'd be going, and I know exactly what I'd say when i met him. I'd look right into his eyes and say "Ben, the two of us need look no more, We both found what we were looking for". Okay, I'd actually probably giggle uncontrollably and turn various colorful shades of red.
What is it about Rugby stars that makes them so much more cool (and hot) than American football stars? can you imagine a football star in the U.S. throwing a big ole gay party? But then, there's absolutely nothing gay about American football, right?
