Oh, Snap! GLAAD Media Awards in NYC Red Carpet Pictures!

Mariska_hargitay_cheyenne_jackson

This past week, West Coast-ers played host for the HRC Gala, but last night, not to be outdone, New York welcomed its own wonderfully pro-gay event: the 19th Annual GLAAD Media Awards - one of them, anyway. And it was a pretty ... attractive evening, judging from these red carpet photos.

Here we have Law & Order's Mariska Hargitay and Xanadu on Broadway's Cheyenne Jackson. I hope Mariska is asking if she can touch Cheyenne's rippling thighs. I mean, that's what I would do if I ever met him...

Martinis, y'all! As The World Turns' continually-stifled gay couple Van Hansis and Jake Silberman chill out with ... who? Tala Ashe? ...some other girl on the show, it would seem.

More gay pictures from the carpet after the jump...

Yikes! The smug and the beard have got to go, Alan Cumming

Kate_clinton

It's comedian / LOGO-favorite / AfterEllen.com political vlogger Kate Clinton!

The Silver Fox himself ... although this could have been from any awards show. Maybe he could switch it up one day. ...What am I saying?

Aaaand we're back to Cheyenne Jackson ... we sure are

Malan_breton

Malon Breton from Season 3 of Project Runway, is that you? Did he always look like Marc Ronson?

In some actual news about the event, GLAAD awarded Barbara Walters, Rufus Wainwright, CNN, The New York Times, AfterElton.com ... and As The World Turns, among others, for their intelligent, positive LGBT portrayals/coverage.

In addition, Bravo - of course - will air the awards show, marking "the first televised airing of the celebration on a fully distributed national cable network." I wonder how fun it'll be to actually watch ...

And here are a few more GLAAD pictures via Queerty.
