American Idol's David Hernandez is a Man of Mystery and Gay Intrigue

The Top 8 Men of American Idol took the stage last night with hopes of dazzling the masses with more cheesy renditions of songs they've never heard before ... but there's question as to whether one of the contestants will even make it to showtime thanks to a new scandal that's popped up.

Idol hopeful David Hernandez is in the news once again and just like last time it has nothing to do with his smooth singing style. After being outed as having worked in a gay bar (allegedly) and surviving the gaggle of Internet gossip hounds his suit of scandal armour will be tested once again thanks to new allegations that he was a male stripper.

Associated Press is reporting that Hernandez worked for 3 years as a stripper at Dick's Cabaret (how imaginative) where he appeared "fully nude and performed lap dances" for the mostly male patrons.

With a resume that includes buzz words like Dick and Burn (the Phoenix gay bar he maybe-kinda-sorta worked at) he may have more to worry about than whether or not Simon Cowell likes his performance. 

So is this enough to give David the old boot from the show?  If you recall, Diva In Training Frenchie Davis was cut from the competition back in Season 2 for having posed in lingerie for an adult website so rocking out with your ... (well, you know the saying) will at least have to be addressed by the Producers, don't you think? 

Believe me I'm no prude and this only makes me want to watch him more, but American Idol is after all a wholesome family show with millions of children watching and voting from week to week, so I'm sure Fox wants to uphold the highest of standards and continue to produce role models for the next generation ... *cough* Jessica Sierra *cough*
