Clay Aiken On My Way Here Cover! Just a Few More Weeks, Claymates!
A new day has dawned in Claynation: The legend's upcoming On My Way Here album, due May 6, is officially on Amazon.com. Details are minimal, but tracks will include "On My Way Here," "Ashes" and one Clay wrote called "Lover All Alone." Figures. Poor, asexual Clay...
Clay told Raleigh-Durham-area news program WRAL the "Ashes" track...
"...talks about bad things that might happen to you. You know, there's been some stuff that's happened in the last five years that I would rather have not happened, but you learn from things like that."
WRAL also has a video interview with Clay and some footage from the recording studio. Love for the home state! Clay, who's still doing Spamalot in New York and seems to hate it - you remember those crotchety interviews - will start touring this summer.

-sigh- Another day, another onslaught of adoring women ... Lovin' those Sevens, girl!
Yea, the bad things are the lies and nasty stories that are printed about him, like your blog. You're so nasty! The only parts that are true is that he has a new CD on May 6 and he's in NY starring in Spamalot. He's having a great time and is getting great reviews. I don't know why you had to say he hates it when the opposite is true.
I'll never understand why the gays are all being such bastards to him.

The thing I love most about Claymates is that they believe that they know Clay and that he's never had a bad thing happen to him or said anything bad ever. They don't even care about questions about his sexuality because they believe his privates have been replaced by sunshine and lilacs. God, I love 'em!

OK, Dani ... I actually like Clay (I even own Measure of a Man) and am just kidding around. I don't think I said anything untrue or overly mean.
And Clay does NOT have good things to say about New York, even though I'm sure he's great in Spamalot. I was mainly referencing his Newsweek interview...

And HE'S the one who says he's not a sexual person!!

Who said Clay 'still hates Spamalot'?? Clay is doing fantastic and loves what he is doing.(And the audience-and not just Clay fans-love him, too) Broadway is going to seriously miss Clay after May 6th-and, if not for promotion for his cd and planning his 9th tour, Clay is going to miss it, too. Why the 'hate' comments????

How hateful and full of bash can one person be? I don't know much about Clay or his music, but in reading your hatefest here, you seriously would benefit from therapy. If this man is singing, performing, signing autographs for fans and wearing Sevens jeans, is that not his right, just as it is yours to be truthful. What an ignorant person you are.

I like that 'asexual' part! LOL it made me laugh! I guess I'm not one of them Claymates who take things too seriously... But I am a (true blue, hardcore yada yada)Claymate.
Kudos for that cheek!

Hi Ping ... thanks for that comment. I was worried my attempts at humor really were coming off as nasty. Glad you appreciated the cheek! ;)

Pfffttt!!! Were you watching the same WRAL video interview I did, Colin??? Clay's loving Spamalot and the audiences are loving him as Sir Robin! The only reason he got "crotchety" in a few crappy interviews was because the interviewers wanted to dredge up negativity and prod him about his personal life. Especially in the NY Times article, the interviewer had NO CLUE about Clay's personality or even likes and dislikes. Seems like no one wants to credit Clay for his exceptional talent, sunny personality, and generous heart (he co-founded the Bubel-Aiken Foundation and is UNICEF rep.) It's always bash, bash, bash. Sure, nobody's perfect, but come ON!
