Mariah Carey Wants to Help You Forget Glitter

Mariahtennessee

-- roc from AfterEllen.com

I'm one of those women who try her best to remain female positive. I really do. I root for talented women to seek their bigger and better slices of the corporate and entertainment pie. High-fiving female successes is one of my favorite past times. Come on, now…up high, come on, don't leave me hangin'!

You know that old saying: Behind every strong and successful woman…is a long line of other women being snide and catty about her hair and shoes! Well, nah, that's not me. So, it's with a heavy heart that I must confess to actually cringing when I read that Mariah Carey has a new movie set to debut. Tennessee will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 26. Hmmm…

Listen to Full Leona Lewis Spirit Album - With Two New U.S. Tracks!

Leonalewis2_2_2

The Brits and The Oprah have both been hyping, but we Americans have yet to get a Leona Lewis of our own. (Follow that link for her interview with NewNowNext.) The U.S. version of her debut album, the fastest-selling debut in U.K. history, won't come to stores until April 8 ... but you can preview the entire Spirit album right now on LOGOonline.

As I said before - nothing on Spirit compares to the wonders of "Bleeding Love," but tracks such as "Better in Time" and "Take a Bow" are total belt-it-in-front-of-the-mirror fun. And there are two new tracks for the U.S. version, "Misses Glass" - which I'm calling pretty forgettable - and "Forgive Me" - which supposedly features Akon and is actually very good.

But I'm still bleedin' track one...

Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac recently told Billboard.com that the band is "looking at the idea of touring sometime in the first half of 2009," with the potential of featuring both new material and a new female bandmate. And it might just be Sheryl Crow!

Crow's name has been mentioned as the possible new addition, though Buckingham told Billboard.com,

Pete Wentz NewNowNext Interview: Fall Out Boy DVD and Fitting In Heels?

Pete_wentz

OK, the heels part only because I asked... I can't forget Pete was at the TRL studios yesterday to promote Fall Out Boy's new CD/DVD called ****, which comes out today. The package features all of the band's music videos as well as concert footage from its live show in Phoenix.

But we have major gay crushes on Pete Wentz over at LOGOonline - I certainly know I do - so I had to digress a little: During our talk, Pete addressed that recent I-wear-Jessica-Simpson's-shoes quotation, as well as performing at gay venues. You don't want to miss that, do you?

Check out the Q&A - and FOB's official in-concert cover of "Beat It" - after the jump...
