Beep Beep: Donna Summer to Release New Album
Disco queen and survivor of the 70s and 80s, Donna Summer, plans to release an album of varied dance material on May 20. Called Crayons, the album will be her first full-length studio album of newly-penned material in 17 years.
Summer, 59, co-write the 12 songs on Crayons that range from pop and world music to retro-modern dance. The lead single, "I'm a Fire," is burning at the top of the Billboard dance chart right now. Also of interest is a title track performed with Ziggy Marley, and "Be Myself Again," an a cappella ballad from the five-time Grammy Award winner.

I have heard the club single I'm a fire and the new single Stamp your feet and all I can say is that she's back!!!! Donna summer is the queen and she's hot!!!

Donna Summer is one of the most underrated female vocalists out there. She is often pigeon holed into one music genre: disco. TRUE fans know that she does it all. You should take a listen to her musical track record. The new cd, Crayons, should be yet another great example of her versatility. Why listen to someone who sounds the same vocally on every single song when there's Donna Summer out there offering you vocal diversity? great news! i'll be sure to see her in concert this summer! Already bought a double CD of I'm a Fire and have been hearing Stamp Your Feet on many radio stations. Great song, very empowering lyrics, fun chorus. Gotta stomp.

Donna Summer ruled the 70's,survived the 80's,returned in the 90's and has just scored another #1 dance hit in this new decade...Talk about longevity.The lady is about to return BIG TIME.Mark my word ; THE QUEEN IS BACK and will rule the charts come May 20th.

I've missed the rich , powerful creamy mezzo voice that distinguishes DONNA SUMMER and firmly establishes her as the 8th most successful female vocalist in history. The wait is almost over (28 days and counting)!
17 years since "Mistaken Identity" (not the best Donna album in the world) but CRAYONS sounds like Donna has got her Mojo back.....back to the dizzy disco heights of her mega mega mega Casablanca days. She is a true star, a true Gay Icon, a true Diva. Forget all those so-called anti-gay comments she DIDN'T say!! She never said them.
CRAYONS deserves to be a major comeback for Donna. Good Luck, Donna.
I've been a huge Donna summer fan since the very start...since 1975!
Buy it guys...and Donna, if you're reading this...please come to London soon!!
