I have to love anyone whose sings "I hope you hang yourself with your H&M scarf" - and once Katy Perry stopped in the LOGO offices for an interview, I loved her even more!

The Cali singer, whose debut album One of The Boys comes out June 17, talked with NewNowNext about her "Ur So Gay" single (watch the video below), getting a shout out from Madonna and why (real) gay boys love her.

And watch the video interview with Katy after the jump!

Enjoy the interview (and I'm telling you, check out "Hot N Cold" ASAP) ... and Katy says hi!

this makes me want to cry. can't ANYONE see that this song has set us back about 30 years? One of my biggest struggles is to teach youth that the words "gay" and stupid are not synonymous. Perry's song, reinforces those awful staunch binaries of the 1950's that activists have been fighting against since before Stonewall. Shame on her and shame on you Logo for telling anyone it's ok to listen to this terrible person.

ana

this is bullshit. fuck logo.
if this song was "you're so jewish" everyone would be pissed.

here, it's is embraced.
fuck you logo.
make money off of gays and you can't even PRETEND to give a fuck about us.
