"nothing compares 2 u" was written by prince, but not recorded by him until AFTER sinead o'connor released it. it was originally release by the family.

one of my all-time favorite covers is bette midler covering the beatles' "in my life." so amazing. i also love alanis morrissette's cover of black eyed peas' "my humps." amazing. oh! also mandy moore doing "umbrella" is pretty good, too!
