And then there was one — one female that is. Brooke White left us last week, leaving Syesha Mercado as the only female remaining on American Idol for Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame week.

I have to say, if someone had told me that the last girl standing would be Syesha, I would have told them they were crazier than Paula Abdul. And then I would have been wrong. It goes to show you how much I know.

Last night, contestants chose songs from the Hall's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll, and in the wake of Paula-gate, the judges went back to their normal format of critiquing them after each performance. It's too bad, really. Last week was so entertaining.

New Gay Music Vlog! Homophonic: Going Deep With Deepa Soul

-- Brian Juergens from AfterElton.com

We're excited to be bringing you a new weekly video blog that focuses on the world of out gay musicians. The aptly-titled Homophonic series, brought to you by the Angry Puppy vlog's Lee and his Archy and Mehitabel bandmate Alex, will take you behind the scenes and into the recording studios of some of the freshest queer musicians out there. I'll let Lee tell you what's in store for the maiden voyage...

Kylie Minogue KYLIEX2008 Concert Tour Pictures!

Kylieminoguekyliex2008_6

God's Gift to Gays Kylie Minogue kicked off her European concert tour in Paris May 6 in support of her X album. ... -sigh- I'm so sad the ridiculousness that - I'm sure - is KylieX2008 won't come to the U.S. All we got were some stiff talk show appearances and bad sound-system performances of mediocre track "All I See" - which, for some reason, Kylie's label chose as the U.S. single.

Well, I can still enjoy the pics. I wonder if these are from the show's Xlectro Static act or its Xposed act ... They look amazing, either way.

Too bad straight America doesn't get Kylie ... But I doubt she really cares; it's not like she's going to be out of work anytime soon. ...Check out more pictures - and her latest video, "Wow" - after the jump.

Which Summer Blockbuster Will You Line up For?

-- Mariana from AfterEllen.com

Yes, summer doesn't officially begin until June 21, but the folks in Hollywood like to start things off early, so the summer blockbusters season is officially beginning. Last year, movies like Spider-Man 3, Shrek the Third, Transformers, Ocean's 13 (and many others) took a lot of people to the movies, with total ticket sales amounting to almost $10 billion. This year, the grand total may not be that much, but with a little help from the following movies, it's likely to come  close.

Here are the blockbusters you should watch out for, starting this week:

Speed Racer (May 9)
