Exclusive With Paula Abdul! Her Side of That Jason Castro Critique & Her Fight for a Gay in The Top 12

Paulaabdul_3

After Jason Castro went home this week on American Idol, he told MTV News, "I just really felt relieved. The pressure was off"; he also said he viewed Paula's now-famous judging mix-up the week prior as an "honest mistake" that didn't affect him.

But speaking of pressure! After accidentally critiquing Jason on a song he hadn't sung yet due to a last-minute format change from Idol producers, Paula told Entertainment Tonight, "We all wish that someone would have told us ... We all just screwed up everything. ... But we all went, 'This is live television. It's actually fun!'"

Weeell - that ain't what she told me! I was lucky enough to speak with Paula Abdul for a second time - our first interview got cut short, and this follow-up involved many cancellations and even an apology bouquet for me from Paula! - and since the whole Jason controversy had just happened when we spoke, Paula gave me a very emotional account of the night from her point of view.

Paula revealed Simon went Naomi Campbell on a few of the unlucky producers and that in fact none of the judges watched Jason's performance that night, to give you a few highlights.

Also - the real reason Paula and I chatted - we talked about her love and devotion to the gay community, and how she fought hard to keep gay contestant Danny Noriega on the show for just that reason.

The Future of Buffy Is in The Cards

-- the linster from AfterEllen.com

Being the curious type, occasionally I go to psychic fairs and have my cards read or find out what my cats are thinking or let someone intuit my aura. OK, I'm not sure what that means, but I get a nice bluish-green printout and assurances that I'm "in a good place," so I figure that's worth $10 now and then.

As a result, friends tend to email me with news from the woo-woo world, whether interesting or weird or just plain outrageous. But I have to say the best thing I've received lately came from a tarot fan with the note, "I think a hot woman is in your future."

Yes, that's exactly who you think it is. The card is part of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer tarot, which Dark Horse Comics announced at  New York Comic Con. Paul Lee, longtime cover artist for Buffy comics, is designing the deck with tarot guru Rachel Pollack. Pollack, who's been a Buffy fan for years, also is writing the deck's guidebook, which will explain how the cards fit into the Buffyverse.

Calling All Gays: Cast Your Vote for The Ultimate Sexiest Video!

Sexyvideos_2

As part of LOGO's "Utterly Shameless, Totally Hot and Sexy Memorial Day Weekend" event - it's about time we did something like this, I'd like to add - The Click List wants all of you lovelies to select the sexiest music video evaaah.

Not a determination to be taken lightly - and there are a few choice sex-fests missing from the nominees list - but you can handle the challenge. The voting page went up today, and LOGO will air the winners - as chosen by you - on the channel May 26.

And now for everyone's enjoyment - especially mine - here are my picks for the top three sexy videos from the master list. First off?

Don't mess - The Pussycat Dolls just equal sexy for me ... maybe because they're kind of joke-sexy. Although, if The Click List had chosen the "Buttons" music video instead of "Don't Cha," that would be a different story; that video is no joke.

Robin Antin's cameo in this one kind of throws it off, but these girls are just so darned hot - especially that blonde one who uses a toilet to drop it like it's hot.

My other sexy video picks after the jump!
