New Alanis Morissette Video - "Underneath"

 

Oooh - am I the only one waiting to hear what sh*t Alanis Morissette put in her new album about ex-fiance Ryan Reynolds? She's notorious for that, right? But this "Underneath" single doesn't have a trace of anger in it, at least not from my reading. Oh, well. "Underneath" is from Alanis' upcoming seventh album, Flavors of Entanglement, due June 10 in the U.S.

 

I dig the feelings of claustrophobia the giant, beating heart surrounding an everyday setting creates - definitely more than Alanis aggressively giving out environmentalist literature while wearing a beanie ... still taking time to text, though, Nokia!

 

 

I'm also not crazy about Alanis' oft-harsh voice - and I kind of hate "Thank U" ... - but I do enjoy this song's musical break toward the end with the heartbeat sound effect layered on. But Save The Earth, Save The Heart? ...Really?
