Voting for AfterElton & AfterEllen Hot 100 Celebrities Begins!
Don't keep these poor celebrities in suspense any longer! They're (maybe not so) secretly dying to know who the gays and lesbians are sweating over. We are the taste-makers, after all.
AfterEllen.com and AfterElton.com are both gearing up for their second annual Hot 100 lists, as chosen by you gay blog-junkies. Voting has begun and will stay open until May 15; the sites will publish the results June 2. Last year's lists were pretty crazy: Tina Fey even gushed about her spot on AfterEllen.com's list on Conan O'Brien.
I didn't actually vote for AfterEllen.com's hot women - since I'm not a lesbian, and all - but I'd love me some Natalie Portman, some Jackie Warner, maybe some Sarah Silverman... I'm sure Tina Fey will knock out anyone and everyone, though. Last year, Leisha Haley from The L Word won, followed with Angelina Jolie and then with Kate Winslet. Not bad ...
But I did vote for my top 10 hottest guys on AfterElton.com - so check out my picks after the jump (only two are gay, though ...).
Last year, AfterElton.com weighed in thousands of votes for its top 100. It turned out gays loved Jake-y G. more than anyone - followed by Chris Evans (really?) and Daniel Craig (OK, good). Andersoon Cooper also did really well and told AfterElton.com -
"I'm flattered to be on the list. Clearly, they have not seen my pale, skinny chicken legs."
Oh, Andy. And now for my picks!
Javier Bardem
No surprise ... me and every other gay man. You can see me almost passing out talking about the hunk of man-meat that is Javier from No Country for Old Men - and I had no idea who he was before that movie! - in a semi-recent NewNowNext NOISE vlog.
Mark Ronson
I wouldn't be surprised if this skinny, chain-smoking, British DJ does a new model every night ... I mean, could you ever say no? Or is that just me?
And appearance aside for one second, I love Mark's Version songs such as "Stop Me," "Oh My God" and "Valerie," and I think he made Amy Winehouse's Back to Black the classic it was ... OK, I don't think; everyone knows that.
Pharrell
I fell back in love with Pharrell, I'll admit, after hearing what he did for Madonna's Hard Candy: He co-wrote and sang back-up on almost every track. As much as I love Madge herself, I think Pharrell is responsible for the hip-hop funk that made Hard Candy special.
So Pharrell caught my attention recently, but I was loving him back in the days of "Number One" and "Beautiful" - and of Britney's "Boys"!
He looks like he might be really short, but I'd still marry him - that face ... that voice!
OK - so you don't need my life story 10 times. Here are the rest of my picks ... Basically these guys could just do whatever they wanted to me.
Brody Jenner
Zachary Quinto
Jessie Brune
Hugh Jackman
Tom Ford
Matthew Fox
Gerard Butler
And as far as my predictions for the AfterElton.com final results go? I think Neil Patrick Harris – who I also don't get – will probably make the top 10. Gays also swoon over Ryan Phillippe and TR Knight ... Oh! And Elton readers love Torchwood - love it, love it! - so John Barrowman may take it all...
