The NewNowNext Awards: First Batch of Winners Revealed!

Candiscolman
NewNowNext Awards co-hosts Candis Cayne and Colman Domingo

Last night in NYC Logo held a big shindig taping of the on-air portion of its first ever NewNowNext Awards. It was major. And really gay! (duh...)

Candis Cayne and Colman Domingo (of Logo's Big Gay Sketch Show genius-ness) co-hosted, and bucketloads of queer and queer-loving talent was on hand: Leona Lewis (gorgeous!), Cyndi Lauper, Christian Siriano, Wilson Cruz, Caroline Rhea, some women from The L Word, musicians like Lady Gaga, Dangerous Muse, Cazwell, the men of Noah's Arc ... and the Dazzle Dancers and the Planet Unicorn crew!

So as to not keep you in suspense, Logo's releasing all the winners of the prizes (which is a big, heavy-looking glass "N" called the "Nexty") today. The full list is after the jump and includes folks as varied as Tina Fey, the trans-led band The Cliks, the aforementioned Leona Lewis, Candis Cayne and more!!!

MEH !

A tranny, a tranny-mass and a bunch of women designer.

Nothing for Cheyanne or Torchwood.

D-Listed over towleroad.com
- please.

Count this gay man out of this trash-fest award show.

MEH !

A tranny, a tranny-mass designer and a bunch of women. What progress the gay community has made.

A masculine male just should be happy to be nominated I guess.

Nothing for Cheyenne or Torchwood.

Straight Tina Fey over gay, out and proud Cheyenne Jackson! disgusting!

D-Listed over towleroad.com
- please!

Straight Sara Silverman's cheesy comedy show over TORCHWOOD's ground breaking gay male lead storyline.

Offensive enough to keep me from watching Logo at all going forward.

Count this gay man out of this trash-fest bottom feeding - anti-male award show.

Vote for the GAY people!
What is wrong with the voters? Enough with the straight women and the trannies.

It is about time that trans people are being recognized for something other than Jerry Springer type jokes. The gay community (as witnessed by the above comments)still have a long way to go before we include everyone into OUR community.

Um, hell yes Dlisted over Towleroad and any other blog on the stupid internet for that matter! I live to read that hot slut Michael K's bitchy commentary. He is the hottest slut around BY FAR!!!!! Yay for Dlisted!!!!

i'm not gay, not a woman... but the counterculture needs to break away from the idea that gay men are "the" sexual minority. get over it, you had your revolution in the 80's, now it's time for everyone else to make progress.

these aren't activist awards. the presence of a straight woman or a TV show with straight men playing a positive, functional gay couple isn't degrading the awards, its signaling that this "scene" or "counterculture" or "movement" or whatever is being accepted! the lines are blurring! people are becoming aware! be happy!

P.S.: go Mike! go Tyler! huzzah for Planet Unicorn! huzzah for Channel 101!

WTF?!? Tegan and Sara weren't even nominated? Shame on you Logo!
