The Brink of Fame Music Artists of The NewNowNext Awards

Our little countdown to the first ever NewNowNext Awards this Saturday continues with music videos from five gay Brink of Fame-ers. Yup, this category is keeping it queer - we still love you, Leona Lewis - and now's your chance to catch up on the LOGO favorites before our big night.

First up is Brooklyn musician Chris Garneau ... and if you're not a morning person, Chris'll be right there with you! Kidding... You'll enjoy the dark, whisper-y "Relief" from Chris's debut album, Music for Tourists.

But who will win? Who else is left? ... Check it all out after the jump...

Openly-gay and sexfully-tattooed folk singer Eric Himan is in the NNN running as well. I've always thought Eric channels John Mayer, and this "There's Gotta Be Something" single has had quite the running on LOGO.

Eric's also a big vlogger - which I appreciate - and he just released a new album, Resonate, so I'm hoping for big things from our guy.

Next, Australian singer Missy Higgins, whose On a Clear Night album was a big Billboard hit and featured tracks that graced Grey's Anatomy, is actually more sexually-fluid than gay - or "not-so-straight," as she puts it, but she still qualifies. Keep up the post-gay!

I'm actually a fan of this "Where I Stood" track and of the video, which is a little surprising, I know, considering my usual, ultra-sophisticated taste...

Now it's pretty much impossible not to like the hip-hop duo God-des & She: one rapper, one soulful belter... it's pretty amazing. Just watch "Love You Better" ... some of these nominees keep surprising me: the video's actually pretty hot on occasion.

And last up, The NewNowNext Awards' big winner: The Cliks!

The band's intense, melody-heavy rock is loaded with energy, and, while the sound isn't my favorite, I certainly get the group's appeal. And I appreciate their star power after seeing their killer performance at the NewNowNext Awards themselves ...

... which you still need to watch on Saturday, riiight??
