The Hot 100 Lists From AfterEllen & AfterElton Are Up!
NewNowNext's sistahs a.k.a. The AfterEs - actually, they don't call themselves that - have officially posted their second annual Hot Women as chosen by lesbians and bi women and Hot Men as chosen by gay men and ... maybe some bis in there? And the lists are major deals: we're talking hundreds of thousands of votes from gays from all over the planet!
I'm revealing the No.1s after the jump - of course, you can check the official AfterEllen.com Hot 100 and AfterElton.com Hot 100 for yourself - but let's talk the AfterElton first, second and third runners-up: Xanadu's thigh-master Cheyenne Jackson, recently out actor and Matthew Rhys' main man in Brothers & Sisters, Luke MacFarlane, and Torchwood's John Barrowman, who was apparently really close for first.
I'm surprised John didn't win, actually; those AfterElton readers are kind of obsessed with Torchwood. They never even mentioned the time John poo-ed onstage. I don't know why!
And for the women: Jennifer Beals - who did really well last year, as well - came in second for her role as Bette Porter on The L Word, and then the other two were both AfterEllen vlog stars: Yup, Jill Bennett and Bridget McManus are online sensations. Let's face it, those two had done a few gay projects here and there, but the AfterEllen vlogs made them gay favorites ... and they are pretty darn hot.
And the winners are after the jump...
Again? Really, guys? I have to remember the extent to which most gay men love Jake Gyllenhaal ... as in, would give anything for two minutes with Jake Gyllenhaal. I mean, I get it, but even the AfterElton staff didn't seem quite sure what he was doing there, as he hasn't done anything in the past 12 months.
He must still be riding on Brokeback and the GLAAD awards...
And no surprise on the AfterEllen end: Last year, 30 Rock and Baby Mama creator/star Tina Fey gushed to Conan O'Brien about making it to a mere No. 7 on the list. What will she say now? She already knows the lesbians love her, but this is quite the honor.
Tina is hilarious, incredibly smart and a friend of the gays, so I couldn't be happier. Yay for Tina!
82 guys on the list are straight or supposedly straight. SELF-HATRED MUCH? Gay people value heterosexuality OVER homosexuality. It's sick. After hundreds of millions of gay people throughout history were forced to live by straight people's demands or else gay people should be disgusted by those overlords instead of worshipping them. Gross. Michael Jensen and Brian Juergens said they would not talk about MIKA because he's in the closet and that's not supporting the gay "community." Yet they post articles about straight people who have done zero for gay people every day. Shameless and repulsive. Stop perpetuating self-hatred.
I'm proud that 4 out of the top 5 are gay but that is little consolation.

who says we have to like gays MORE than straights? just because they're gay? that's dumb.
