Watch New Rihanna Video - "Disturbia"

 

Rihanna keeps getting dibs on the best songs ... Seriously! No wonder Lindsay wants her music to sound like Ri-Ri's. And OK, I only say "the best" because I've been unable to turn off "Disturbia" since day one of Good Girl Gone Bad's re-release - I was shocked that blah ballad "Take a Bow" got single attention before the chilly "Disturbia" did - and I had high expectations for its video treatment.

And while this has some compelling concepts going on - the torture imagery (and not just Rihanna's arms stuck in glory-holes), the inhuman, jerky movements, Rihanna as a goth-y demon - I worry everyone involved tried a little too hard, or at least had a ton of ideas they all ended up using. I'm a still a fan, though - especially of that feathered, Aaliyah-from-Queen-of-The-Damned headdress.
