Britney Spears Will Appear Again at The VMAs...?!

 

I've said it before, but how do Brit Brit and MTV still have a working relationship after her disoriented slop-fest of a show-opener in 2007? ...Oh, well! Video streams are video streams.

Yes, it's official: Over the past few days, MTV's been asking its readers if Britney Spears "deserves a VMAs do-over" - and I'd imagined we'd all responded with a resounding no. (I used to be a huge Britney fan, remember.) But yesterday the network announced Britney will open the 2008 VMAs on Sunday at 9 p.m. - just like last year. Interestingly, MTV is kinda pretending the whole '07 fiasco never happened. (Let's focus on her good showings!) I hate to sound bitter - and yes, I'm still incredibly excited to see what Brit's actually going to do - but I'm burned from last year... You don't just get over something like this:
