The VMAs last night were a spectacle. All that prancing around the NYC backlot at Paramount Studios and multiple Britney wins may not have made for the freakiest, steamiest VMAs ever... But there was some eye candy to be found here and there.

Here's a quick look at some of the hot (meaning, HOT) and hot (meaning ridiculous) of the maleness to be found onstage, on the red carpet and elsewhere at the VMAs. Gentlemen, start your engines...

Hollywood heir and player David Katzenberg is looking kinda beefy and cute, even with gawky Nicky Hilton climbing up one side.

Harry Potter alum and Twilight vampire Robert Pattinson is kinda bewitching.

Even the usually-pixie-ish Ken doll Zac Effron was looking kinda sharp last night.

Mr. West's "Love Lockdown" finale might have been a bit arty, but he was bringing some dapper and style to the proceedings.

Olympian Michael Phelps was kinda dorky on stage, but he's serving his useful goofy hotness here, chatting with Ciara behind-the-scenes. Maybe they should have some superhuman babies together, eh? I'd watch that.

Remember Jack's son on Will & Grace? Michael Angarano was also in Lords of Dogtown and other flicks... Now he's kinda hunky. Even with "Twilight" chick Kristen Stewart rubbing up against him.

Ummm... Pete Wentz usually looks better than this. "What not to wear, much?" Ashlee, how did this happen?

We tease Chace... But he is darn pretty.

And the Jonas Dumpling Gang got to shmooze with Aunt Britney. "Do as I say kids, not as I do..."
