New Common Video - "Universal Mind Control"
| Gay music and video from NewNowNext.com |
That class-act Common - he pledged to drop any homophobic lyrics from his music, so he's even classier - has another strong rap track to offer, bearing a more modern touch than I'd expect from him. But I'm feeling “Universal Mind Control," the title track from Common's upcoming eighth album, as well as this hypnotic video. Doesn't the backing sound like an '80s video game? That's always fantastic - and the smooth animations totally work. That robot is calling your name, by the way.
It'll be interesting to see if the entire album continues with these electronic influences; Common collaborated with Cee-Lo, Pharrell Williams and Chester French for this one, so who knows? Universal Mind Control, as of now, is set for a Nov. 11 release.
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
