Thankful for Britney! Awesome Performances, For The Record - Oh, But Those Poor London G-A-Ys

I feel a little ridiculous reporting Britney Spears has been everywhere this weekend: really, when has Britney not been everywhere? But if you've tuned to MTV or to your list of European awards shows, you've probably seen plenty of our girl... working... and looking amazing... and performing like she used to! Rejoice, fellow Britney fans! (I can't embed the video, but I highly recommend the "Womanizer" performance on Star Academy in France.)

And over our way, the tell-all documentary, Britney: For The Record, aired last night on LOGO and MTV, and - even though you can't really trust such a mega-fan - the film was really well-done and offered authentic looks into Brit's bizarre, sometimes-amazing, sometimes-awful day-to-day.

But some sad news for gay Brits: After our girl performed for Simon Cowell on The X Factor, Britney made an impromptu pit stop at club G-A-Y. Needless to say - and even with only a 10-minute warning - the gays mobbed the club, and Brit holed up in VIP and never went on stage. Oh, but get over it: Brit did have her birthday cake amongst her gay fans. That's pretty special, right?

Awww... more pictures of sad London gays after the jump.

Is there anything more heart-breaking than a disappointed drag queen?

Britney's Circus comes out in the U.S. tomorrow ... she'll even be in Times Square, New York to ring in the release and her 27th birthday.
