Ladies and Gentleman, your hostess, Linda Simpson!
Linda Simpson is the Fran Lebowitz of the NYC drag scene. Only less rumpled. She's the sharp wit, the smart cookie, the funny hostess, the savvy writer, the sly comedienne... And she's been doing it forever!
Somewhere between 1987 and 1992 Linda founded My Comrade magazine, "the revolutionary gay magazine," which was a compendium of art and words celebrating downtown NYC in all of it's twisted, draggy, hard-living, high-art, grungy pre-Giuliani hey-day. She cut her teeth in the NYC club scene alongside such talents as Lady Bunny, RuPaul, Sweetie and Misstress Formika, and Linda was also a cohost of the legendary gay cable show Party Talk in the mid-90s!
Basically, Linda's never stopped. MyComrade.com thrives now as a blog. And Linda also has found time to work as a magazine editor at Time Out New York, a playwright (her play The Bad Hostess recently debuted in NYC) and a bon vivant, a weekly bingo hostess and cultural superstar.
Paper Magazine even dubbed Linda "the thinking woman's drag queen." Such a brainy girl... But still very popular!
Please enjoy an interview with Linda after the jump. It's short! After all, brevity is the soul of wit. And so is Linda!

The high-speed madness that is gonna be RuPaul's Drag Race starts on Monday (Feb. 2nd at 10pm)! Think of it as The Supermodel Bowl!
Wanna get to know more about all the girl-racers? Check their Drag Race contestant profile interviews at the RuPaul's Drag Race site. I gotta say I'm loving Ongina and Bebe Zahara Benet and Rebecca Glasscock and Tammie Brown. But what do I know?
You can also pop over and visit the folks at the World of Wonder Report. Their dish and coverage on the show, the drag-tastic contestants, the L.A. premiere and drag fabulousness in general is AMAZING!

Super Bowl Sunday is almost here. If you are still unsure about how to spend your Sunday evening, look no further. AfterEllen.com has constructed a fool-proof, flow-chart-based guide to help you choose the best option available to you.
What will you be watching?
Sherry Vine works hard for the money. The longtime NYC drag darling sings, hosts, cracks jokes, travels the globe, acts -- and she's been doing it for aeons! When she puts her lips around a song (either a parody, or just by twisting a pop gem around her titanic vocal chords), watch out.
One of Manhattan's nightlife veterans, she's worked stages in unforgettable Theater Couture shows in the East Village throughout the 1990s with troupers like Jackie Beat and Mario Diaz, and Sherry was also one of the legendary Bar d'O divas, belting tunes weekly alongside mega-talents like Joey Arias, Raven O and Sade Pendarvis.
Sherry's always had a scathing wit, big hair, masses of lipstick and a yeoman-like dedication to her gorgeous craft. She's even becoming a burgeoning video star: Check her Britney-inspired "Supersizer" for which she teamed up with porn pup Ben Andrews. It's big.
You can also glimpse Sherry in the fierce video for up-and-coming Brooklyn band Neon Glitter Bliss' scorching electropop nugget "Wilted Flower." It's in the running to be named "Ultimate Drag Video" (which gets announced later night on Logo's Click List, 11pm EST), and I'm guessing it'll be up there!
For National Drag History Month, we quizzed Ms. V about her inspirations, gender issues, drag icons and the high cost of looking so fabulously cheap. Read the full exchange after the jump!

Face it, Sports Fans! The Super Bowl is kicking The Oscars' ass!!! Meaning, how come the Super Bowl gets all the good (bad) food -- chili! wings! beer! -- and the good commericals, and the ridiculous half-time show mania!???
These are the questions plaguing Liz Dahmen and John Polly this week in their Best Supporting Vlog! Industrious Liz gets her football shoulderpads on to figure what the froofy gay Oscars can learn from all the guy-powered Super Bowl sound and fury.
For starters... Beer Cozies! T-Shirts!

The Real World Brooklyn is charging along. And Katelynn, the shows frisky and buzzworthy transgender cast member is keepin' up on her blog!
This week marks the start of her "On Being Transgender" series. Part 1 gets rolling with: "I’m amazed at the sheer amount of misinformation and ignorant stereotypes that are still largely pervasive about the LGBT community... I knew it was bad, I just didn’t know it was this bad."
Yep, NEWSFLASH: People are clueless about how to approach transgender issues. So Katelynn is happy to take on folks who offer comments such as "You were born a man, so you're a man," and who ask if she had her goods "cut off." And then there are religious zealots and those who offer the clever "But you don't look like a girl..."
Clearly, Katelynn's got her work cut out for her. She begins talking about becoming "post op" above. After the jump, even more video. Most of it, CRAZY...

Good afternoon, Lezbos & Gays. Rumors of a third Charlie's Angels movie are picking up speed after Drew Barrymore mentioned to E! Online that she is "so into" it. Barrymore's rep confirmed, saying that things were "percolating" and "rising to the top."
First order of Angel business: Find the person who attacked Drew Barrymore's hair at the Golden Globes and stab him with his teasing comb.
The idea being punted around is that the Charlie's Angels franchise will add a fourth Angel to star alongside Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu in the third installment.

Charo coochies on the RuPaul Red Carpet; Santino still concerned with his Project Runway costar Andrae... Cute!
Yep muchachas, Charo & Santino Rice co-hosted Logo's music video dancefest NewNowNext Poplab on Wednesday night. OMG -- Charo's new music video "España Cañi"??? Genius! Insane! And for a nice cause. (FYI: Charo's a big animal rights supporter, thus the mantra for this tune: "Dance, Don't Bullfight!"
Below you can ogle Charo in a photo shoot promotion she did last fall with PETA and Telemundo. Ain't no bullfighter gonna pull one over on Señorita Charo!
After the jump, a video interview with Santino, and take a listen to his fierce dance single (I'm not lying!).

She's been arted up. And charted up!
Kelly Clarkson is having a busy day! Her new single "My Life Would Suck Without You" just turbo-bolted to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles roster. The press release declares in all-caps:
SINGLE BREAKS THE EXISTING RECORD FOR BIGGEST ONE WEEK JUMP AND IS THE LARGEST LEAP IN THE CHART’S HISTORY
Yikes! It bested "Womanizer"'s leap from #96 to #1, by jumping from #97 last week. (Oooh, she beat Brit by one notch!) "Suck" also bumped Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" from the top spot. And Clarkson's new insta-hit is also #1 on the Digital Charts, too.
And tonight during American Idol, the video will debut during a commercial break. Nice nab, Fox!
A peek at Kelly in her new video, via People.
Thanks to all this hooplah, her label moved the release of her album, All I Ever Wanted up to March 10th. It doesn't suck to be KC right now.
Lily Allen headlines today include...
Lily Allen Wants a Rich Sugar Daddy!
Lily Allen Visits Therapist
Lily Allen Travels Abroad for War Child Charity
Lily Allen: "I Eat Like a Pig!"
Lily Allen Considers Joining a Nunnery
Lily Allen Helped Father Sell Drugs as a Kid
Aayyyyy! Is it any wonder the fab little Brit singer gets a bit stressed from time to time? No wonder she needs a good gay by her side to keep things in perspective. That's what she's singing about in the aptly titled "Fag Hag," a bonus track from her forthcoming It's Not Me, It's You album. Hear it below!
Fag Hag - Lily Allen
Sure the tune is cliche-ridden. But the thing is, I do like shopping. And having tea and reading the Travel section. And I'd happily have tea with Lily, so... Urf, she's right!
After the jump, her fab video for her single "The Fear" - think Brideshead Revisited meets Hello Kitty. With cute dancing butlers. And balloons!

Dennis Hensley is a fab Hollywood journalist/author/writer/director and performer. He does it all! And he also is happy to grab a camera and attack a party, so with this in mind he headed to the L.A. launch event for RuPaul's Drag Race (coming next Monday, Feb. 2nd on Logo).
There he chatted with the contestants (Nina Flowers, Ongina, Victoria Parker, Jade, Tammie Brown), the star (RuPaul!) and even one delicious guest star -- Charo! Plus... BRITNEY!!! The results are cute, and Dennis is quick and a blast to watch. "Were there catfights? Is it like Survivor where you can't eat at all? Do you have any scars or wounds from the show? How much did you cry?"
Dennis also reveals what will be Ru's signature catchphrase (or one of them) from the show when one contestant gets kicked to the curb, and one gets to stay... "Chantay, you can stay" or "Sashay, away!" Wurk, indeed.
Tyra & Suze: How can the gays NOT love 'em?
The do-gooders for all things LGBT and media-related over at GLAAD have unveiled their list of nominees for this year's big GLAAD Media Awards. Think of them as the Gay Oscars, or the Gay Emmys, or the Gay Cable ACE Awards (do they still give those out?).
Lots of usual suspects are included: Milk, Brothers & Sisters, South of Nowhere, Ugly Betty... But there are some nice inclusions that make for a nice surprise (maybe?).
Alongside Milk as nominees for Best Picture - Wide Release are Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (it had those cute indie-band gays), Brideshead Revisited (dashing gay-ish Brits), Vicky Christina Barcelona (Penelope & Scar-Jo get it on!) and RocknRolla (made by Guy Ritchie - anybody see that one?).
Films in limited release getting nods were Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom, Shelter, XXY, Save Me & The Edge of Heaven. These all get handed out in various ceremonies in NYC, LA & SF in March and April.
And one fun category... OUTSTANDING REALITY PROGRAM
America's Next Top Model (The CW)
I Want to Work for Diddy (VH1)
Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List (Bravo)
Shirts & Skins (Logo)
TransAmerican Love Story (Logo) Is this one award that Kathy G. won't win? Oh, the supsense! Maybe Kathy, Miss J, Diddy's Laverne Cox and Calpernia Addams can just play a game of horse against the Shirts & Skins gays to figure this one out. (They should recruit straightie Nigel Barker. He's tall! And probably hot in b-ball gear.) More on Tyra and Suze's big honors after the jump!

Out director Lee Daniels and Push's young star, Gabourey Sidibe, take their trophy at Sundance.
-- Jamie Murnane from AfterEllen.com

Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire, swept the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend, winning the grand jury and audience choice awards. Directed by the openly gay Lee Daniels the film has been touted the new The Color Purple, but set in Harlem.
The film's main character is the obese, illiterate 16-year-old Precious Jones, played by newcomer Gabourey Sidibe. Precious is pregnant with her second child — by her father. Comedian Mo'Nique plays Precious' abusive welfare mother. It's such a surprising role for the usually comic Mo'Nique that she also picked up a special jury prize at the festival.
PUSH's Happy Crew: Mariah Carey, Lee Daniels, Mo'Nique & Paula Patton!
It's dark and disturbing, alright, but also incredibly hopeful. Precious triumphs over her extreme adversity thanks to her lesbian teacher (Paula Patton) and social worker (Mariah Carey - yes, Mariah!).

Last night saw the Screen Actors Guild Awards doled out (Congrats to pants-wearing Meryl, the Slumdog cast and big props to Sean Penn), but this past Thursday saw the Oscar nominations announced! And MILK nabbed 8 or 9 biggies, but that's no big shocker. The people who were really surprised were Marisa Tomei, the dead dad from Six Feet Under, and all the people who worked on Revolutionary Road (ouch!).
Liz Dahmen and I offer our assessment of the whole affair, and we share insights on nominated films that you didn't even know were gay. Plus, surprise "queer" nominees!!! (Hint: He ripped Leo & Kate new ones!)
Plus, how to stress your 501's so as to accentuate your hot package, how Oprah got dissed by a bunch of uppity nuns, and how some gay penguins waddled in to this year's Oscar race.
Diversity, homo penguins & strippers! F*ck yeah, it's Oscar-time!
Also, why the Best Supporting Actress nominees are so damn diverse -- and bouncy!
What did YOU think of the Oscar noms? Did you burst your Benjamin Buttons? Or did your Milk go sour?
Sean Penn accepting his SAG Award.
-- Brian Juergens from AfterElton.com

Last night the acting community awarded its best and brightest for their work in 2008, and Sean Penn was singled out for one of the biggest awards of the night for playing Harvey Milk in Gus Van Sant's biopic. His acceptance speech was a plea for equal rights, and his final thanks were to "the counsel of Cleve Jones and the great Harvey Milk". But first, he gave the crowd a healthy dose of humor:
"Something happened to me during the making of this movie. I noticed it tonight that the statues have rather healthy packages. As actors we don't play gay, straight ...we play human beings. (I'm) So appreciative of this acknowledgment. This is a story of equal rights for all human beings. Thanks Gus San Sant, Lance Black, the counsel of Cleve Jones and the great Harvey Milk."
The men of Milk got plenty of screen time at the awards (including when Josh Brolin goosed James Franco onstage while they and Emile Hirsch were introducing their film), but it wasn't the only instance of gay visibility at the SAG party, which had "Diversity" stamped all over it. Which is nice.
Here's my top ten list of gay moments from the event!

The kids at NYC's lovely gay rag HX have a cover story interview with RuPaul this week. It's all about RuPaul's Drag Race, the new drag queen reality show coming to Logo starting Monday, Feb. 2nd.
Ru makes some pretty sweeping statements - "All the things that make being on this planet worthwhile are tied back to drag." - but why not? She's the Supermodel of the World, so whattya gonna do?
My favorite line from the interview is about her fellow judge of this drag-queen version of Project Runway-meet- Top Model. Of Santino Rice, Ru quips: "Santino is one big d*ck sexy mother f*cker and he cracks my sh*t up..." Oh, my. Well props to Santy and his prodigious talents!
After the jump more pics of Ru from HX and a lovely artpiece: RuPaul done entirely in hair products!

JD = DJ
--Posted by Tate Nova.
JD Samson, originally of Le Tigre fame, has long been imprinting the DJ scene with fresh sounds, from her joint project DJ MEN (with Le Tigre bandmate Johanna Fateman) to boisterous individual shows.
So as a huge Le Tigre fan, I was shocked to hear a rumor that last month on New Year's Eve JD Samson DJed in Australia and cleared out a dance floor of 200 people. Maybe Australians dance differently than Americans? Determined to find out if there was any truth to this rumor, this past week I went to see JD spin at Plumm in the West Village.

Musical stud-muffin and former gay porn megastar Colton Ford is rough and ready for 2009. He's got two spunky new tunes coming your way. (His press folks call them "meaty sweatbombs" fyi.)
One is his cover of the house-y classic "Music Sounds Better With You" by Stardust. And his take on it is pretty smooth. Not a radical revamping of the tune, but a solid homage to the warm beats of the original. Nice!
And then Colton tackles Britney Spears' "Trouble" - one of her b-side club hits. It's cute, but I prefer the more soulful housey stuff, thanks. It's a little to poppy-robotic for my tastes.

Evidently, Colton's got an entire album of covers coming in March. (You wanna get under the covers with Mr. F?) For now, listen to these first two tunes on Colton's MySpace page, or buy 'em on iTunes.
The Real World Brooklyn is charging merrily along. And trans cast member Katelynn's love life just gets more and more bumpy!
Above you can watch a confessional clip wherein she talks about missing her boyfriend back home, but also about going on a date with a guy in NYC. Yep, she's a bit muddled.
And now Katelynn's got a new blog, courtesy of the RealWorldDailies.com site, and she goes into more detail about her "Boyfriend Woes." As she puts it:
...my boyfriend has gone MIA. Mike and I have been playing phone tag for the better part of a month, but the only time I seem to talk to him is if I take the initiative and call him.
...The general consensus seems to be that he is indeed doing a half-ass job, and I deserve the full ass.
Oh what's a girl to do? Not sure what to tell you Kat, but keep blogging so we know what's up!
-- Jamie Murnane from AfterEllen.com
Lily Allen has been getting a lot of attention lately, and somehow I don't think it's a coincidence. Recently, she apparently bought a beach in Jamaica while drunk (shopping after you've had a few is never a good idea) and sent topless mobile photos to the wrong person (they went to the Kaiser Chiefs' Ricky Wilson but she's "joked" it was intended for '80s singer Rick Astley — not sure which is worse.)
Allen also "slipped" and said she'll be playing the Glastonbury Music Festival; and the festival organizers haven't even confirmed any of the acts. She's been candidly telling the press various things like she doesn't think she's talented and that she makes no money from and hates her first album, Alright, Still.
Even her dad is supposedly trying to tell her to shut up — but not before she claimed that, in addition to everything else she's been up to, she also had sex with not one, but two lesbians — twins, no less.

The Penn-Brolins celebrate their Oscar nominations.
Gays can rejoice a little extra this morning! MILK snagged a bunch of Oscar nominations, at least for the categories where it matters!
Milk scored a Best Picture nomination, maybe showing that Academy voters prefer real-life heroes over cartoony types (no Best Picture nod for The Dark Knight). Revolutionary Road also got snubbed.
Sean Penn nabbed his much-deserved nomination for Best Actor, edging out folks like Clint Eastwood and Leonardo DiCaprio. Of course he's got feel-good underdog Mickey Rourke to wrestle with. And Six Feet Under's dead dad, Richard Jenkins, got a nom for The Visitor. Anybody see that?
Hurrah for Anne Hathaway. I thought her turn in Rachel Getting Married was one of the best of the year. She nabbed a Best Actress nom. And does this mean I need to go see Frozen River to catch Melissa Leo? Guess so!
Dustin Lance Black got a nomination for his original screenplay for Milk, making him this year's youngest and cutest nominee. Yay!
All in all, Milk scored 8 nominations! Josh Brolin for Best Supporting Actor, and Gus Van Sant for Best Director too.
Meryl Streep nabbed her 15th nomination for Doubt. Shocker.
Get a full list at The Envelope.
Milk's Oscar nominated Dustin Lance Black. Congrats, Hotness!
Megan Brooks and Phoenix are back with another installment of their handy, how-to "What a Drag!" series. This week, they take their willing drag-wannabe into the world of weaves and wigs. Yep, it's hair-time!
Why aren't these gals on RuPaul's Drag Race? I'm thinking they'd snatch up a trophy or two, for sure! Either way, it's all part of the sassy month-long tribute that is National Drag History Month.
It's enough to make me wanna dig up my classic auburn wig from my, ahem, "costume drawer."
No big shocker here. Jon Stewart and The Daily Show crew, pretty much nailed all of yesterday's inaugural pomp and circumstance. Just watch and enjoy...
And below, Stewart visited with gay Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson, who delivered an invocation at Sunday's Lincoln Memorial shindig. And Bishop Gene is a hoot! He even one-ups Stewart with a "queen" joke. Attagay!

Michelle Obama's Inaugural Ball gown; and its designer Jason Wu -- with another of his muses, Amanda Lepore.
So one big reveal last night was Michelle Obama's gown! With a strap over one shoulder, a ruched bodice, fluffy appliques, and beads! It was foofy, not as sleek as some may have liked but... Props to openly gay designer Jason Wu for scoring the chance to design this landmark gown that will live in the Smithsonian.
Jason Wu is young, 26, and based here in NYC. And in addition to working for Narciso Rodriguez and launching his own line, Wu was a student of Tim Gunn's at Parsons, and he's gained renowned as a doll designer, creating dolls for -- get ready -- RuPaul and Amanda Lepore!
Big fat props to Jason (born in Taipei, raised in Vancouver)! And his own line is pretty stellar... Expect to hear lots more from him!
P.S. Michelle Obama has worn Jason Wu before, namely for a Barbara Walters interview. Thanks to the Mrs. O style blog for that handy tidbit. More pics of Mrs. Obama's hot look, and some fun pics of Jason Wu (with celebs) after the jump!

Everybody loves a human interest news story about a band of rag-tag musicians who pull it together in time for the big-deal parade performance! And amid all this Obama inauguration hullaballoo there's a great tale of how the gay marching band made it into the ranks of the Inauguration Parade this year!
365Gay News and Itay Hod filed the story posted above. And The Takeaway and Towleroad chatted up the lovely musicians making their big Inaugural debut. Suddenly, these folks are media darlings! Hurrah!
The Lesbian & Gay Band Association band is a collective of 150 queer musicans from all over the U.S. coming together for this big special shindig. Yes, folks it's all about unity. Obama even brings all the gays together. Nice, right?
Just FYI, they'll be playing some John Philip Sousa marches along the frosty parade route down Pennsylvania Avenue, and then some fierce tunes from "The Wiz." Bring it!
Tonight in D.C. there are 10 or so big Inaugural Balls dropping. (Heh, heh...) And one of the most fabulous will certainly be the shindig sponsored by the HRC. Out for Equality will gay it up at the Mayflower Hotel and feature performances by Melissa Etheridge, Cyndi Lauper, Rufus Wainwright, Dave Koz, Thelma Houston, Catie Curtis and surely some others. It's sold out, but maybe you can flirt your way in?
At the biggie, the Neighborhood Ball, Beyonce will sing the Etta James classic "At Last" (which she also sings in Cadillac Records) as the First Couple take the floor for their first dance.
MTV will broadcast live from D.C. tonight with "Be the Change: Live from the Inaugural" starting at 10pm, which will be full of dish and news from the whole crazy ball scene around D.C.
 Fierce.
It's official! Barack Obama is the 44th Prez. Hallelujah! "Change" it up!
Some pics and some thoughts...
So, exactly how cool and calm was Obama!??!! Total ice.

Grab a penny (It's got Lincoln on it! Oh, the significance!) and play along!
The fellows over at AfterElton are really turning it out this Inauguration Weekend. First, Brian Juergens unveiled the genius of "Obama Bingo" this morning. Print out the card and play along as you watch all the historical shenanigans on TV today.
Yes, today is an amazingly thrilling landmark occasion. But it also means TV folks will be talking nonstop live today, and undoubtedly it's gonna get wonky. Grab a bingo card and play along. More details on AfterElton.com.
Also, AfterElton's coverage of the whole "HBO didn't show gay bishop Gene Robinsons speech" fuss got a big shout-out last night on Rachel Maddow, from the Mad-woman herself. Hurrah! Nice work.
You can watch the clip below.
Good morning! Ready for a big day?
All day today, 365Gay’s Jennifer Vanasco has constant Twitter updates from the scene in D.C. Are you among the throngs packing our nation's capital?
As you may know, HBO didn’t show openly gay Bishop Gene Robinson’s prayer which kicked off Sunday’s “We Are One” concert and inaugural kickoff ceremony. But AfterElton was on it! And it will be included in the rebroadcast.
Josh Groban gave a shout out to his backup singers, the DC Gay Men’s Chorus, for Sunday’s inauguration concert. He loves the gays!
In Dupont Circle in D.C., you can throw a shoe at Bush (a big effigy, anyway). But keep your boots on. It’s cold!
MTV News has a timeline of Obama’s inauguration day. Where will you be when Obama gets sworn in?
The NY Times has a flashy map guiding you through the Inaugural Parade route and all the D.C. happenings.
And if you need to know what Michelle Obama is wearing and why, the Mrs. O fashion blog can tell you.
And Bishop Gene Robinson will be on The Daily Show tonight. Last night Jon Stewart recapped Obama’s weekend, including his 7-hour “express” train ride to D.C.
Enjoy some Daily Show video. (Sorry Philly!) More to come later!
Last night, L.A. saw a snappy premiere party for RuPaul's Drag Race at World of Wonder's Storefront Gallery in Hollywood. It was major. So crowded, even Ru herself couldn't get in, so she held court in a parking lot next door. (Classy & resourceful!)
On hand were most of the Drag Race contestants, Perez Hilton, Judy Tenuta, James St. James, Drag Race judge Santino Rice and best of all... Charo!

Happy MLK Weekend!
Boy George arriving at court today; and onstage in London this past December.
Not a good day for Boy George (aka George O'Dowd) today. He's been sentenced to 15 months in jail for imprisoning and violently abusing a male escort in his London flat. The judge was not amused, and hey... Rightfully so.
There's good coverage via the BBC, Pink News & Towleroad, too.
Oh, George... We liked you more back when you were just fun, outspoken, cocky but also with a sense of humor. And hello - Culture Club was amazing back in the day. It pushed boundaries of music, stereotypes, gender roles, queerness... It took gay to the mainstream and celebrated drag and flamboyance, but also divine musical talent and queer courage!
Below is a video to remember his salad days. And after the jump, some fierce pics of George through the years...

NYC's Golden Girl: Peppermint! Photo by Karl Giant.
If there’s the NYC’s gay scene were high school (and it pretty much is) it’s not hard to guess who’d be the homecoming queen, the head cheerleader, the sassy diva, and the show pony – that’s because they’re all one luscious person: Miss Peppermint!
But this glowing glamazon isn’t just a nightlife hostess and late-night entertainer. She can dance, sing and crank out blistering fun pop/dance hits. She’s already had two fierce scorchers which have gotten tons of play on Logo and in venues nationwide. “Servin’ It Up” and “Thought Ya Knew” are slick joints! Think of it as Drag 2.0. It’s not about lip-synching on a pool-table anymore... Today’s up-and-comers tend to be full-fledged entertainers.
And is there any prettier out there than Miss P? Good luck with that one.
After the jump, check our cute Q&A celebrating Drag History Month. Plus, watch her hot music videos, and a clip of her guest appearance on this week’s Real World: Brooklyn! She is seriously, “servin’ it up.”

The Lady Chablis calls it "hiding her candy." But the folks at RuPaul's Drag Race (premiering on Monday, Feb. 2nd) are happy to call it what is. It's all about "tucking," and they tell you how it works! Yes, children all the contestants on the forthcoming drag-queen reality series are here to share their most intimate secrets...
You can yank it forward or whip it back, no matter. Get your goods down, please! It's all about illusion, after all... Isn't nice how we're all learning so many new things during National Drag History Month?
Next time your undies are riding up on you, think how much worse it could be...

Marc Jacobs and his man Lorenzo Martone; and Jacob's hot legs!
It's been a while since we've heard of any festive antics from Marc Jacobs. Which is why it's nice to see him out and about again. And prep yourself (and maybe do some squats to buff up your legs) because this season it's all about... TIGHTS!
Marc has cranked out a hot line of Stephen Sprouse-inspired goods for Louis Vuitton. And yep, check the tights. They're for guys! Hey, they look good on him, right? (I kinda love 'em, I gotta say.)
It's all part of the current Sprouse-tribute frenzy that Vuitton has amped up, as witnessed by a new launch of graffiti'ed gear. There's a big Sprousey retrospective at the Deitch Projects Gallery in NYC, and a new Stephen Sprouse book from Rizzoli. And yes, there've been parties around town fete-ing them all. Check out the pics after the jump!
And if you wanna know more, watch the lil' video below with Jacobs showing off his tights, chatting w/New York Magazine's Harriet Mays Powell.
After the jump, some party photos from all the Jacobs-Vuitton-Sprouse shindigs!

Who likes a stiff drink? Our favorite lesbian newsanchor media sensation and superstar Rachel Maddow does, that's who! And she'll show you how to make her favorite, the "Jack Rose." Darn. Is there anything she can't do?
Not sure how recent this video is (it references her Air America show, but not the big MSNBC gig). But who cares? As long as Maddow is mixing up some hooch, I'm game for a belt.
Maddow's quite the taskmaster when it comes to mixing. No fake lime juice. And rock that shaker, ya big sissy! Oh, we love it when she bosses us around.
Maybe I'll mix up a batch of these for Tuesday morning's inauguration. Thanks New York Magazine!
Is Kate Winslet still delivering her acceptance speech? Is Mickey Rourke still thanking his dogs? And where were all the gays?
In our new episode of the movie-awards obsessing Best Supporting Vlog, Liz Dahmen and John Polly pick the most homo-tastic moments of the Golden Globes. Liz puts on her "lesbinoculars" to seek out the show dykes, and John arduously whips up a countdown of the Top Ten Gay Moments of the GGs.
Expect nods to Neil Patrick Harris (barely), Danny Boyle's "mad pulsating affection", Glenn Close's quasi-lesbi-tastic pantsuit, Heath's win, and a surprise appearance from Wilson Cruz. Plus, something the lesbians and gays can agree on: Colin Farrell's hotness!
Cookies & Colin Farrell. Yum!
P.S. Click through if you want the recipes for our Penelope Crustini and our Curious Casserole of Benjamin Button! They were in last week's post. And for the recipe for the chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips, you'll have to wait til next week. Bon app!
The Real World: Brooklyn has only shown its first episode and already it's catching on like crazy. The jam-packed daily clips posted on RealWorldDailies.com of all the housemates discussing penis-size, anal sex, gay bars, etc (and those are just straight-Mormon Chet's topics of expertise) are mind-boggling.
So how could we not wanna create our own weekly recap vlog series? Thus comes "The Reel World" in which queer New Yorkers Carly and Richie will examine, critique, analyze and extract meaning from the weekly antics of Katelynn, JD, Devin, Scott, Ryan, Baya and Sarah. And yes, Chet. Oh, that Chet...
Tonight brings episode 2 (MTV, 10pm), so get primed now! And you can also get coverage on MTV's TV-obsessed blog, Remote Control.
Chet: "Why would you think I'm gay?"
"Cover Girl does NOT cover man..." Oh, such pearls of wisdom! There's more where that came from.
To satisfy the inner drag queen yearning to bust free in all of us, here's a new regular vlog hosted by two of L.A.'s loveliest dragsters, Megan Brooks and Phoenix. What a Drag! (based on the gals' site/series on their Life's a Drag site) is gonna teach you all you need to know about being a top-notch "lady." These Georgia-born peaches know their stuff, so watch and learn. Lesson #1: Makeup. Cake it on, please!
Has all the world gone draggy all of a sudden? Maybe. Why not? Blame National Drag History Month or blame the foxy approach of RuPaul's Drag Race coming to Logo. Or maybe some folks are just taking the ever-present mantra of "change" to a new level...
Kelly Clarkson says "Suck it!" Actually, her new single says "My Life Would Suck Without You" and you can hear it leaked on Z100 Radio's site. The above shot is part of the promo image. Slurp!
The full-on album All I Ever Wanted is coming in March, and the album art for that is below. Photoshopped much? But why not? As Kelly says herself on her own blog about the album cover:
"...it’s very colorful and they have definitely photo-shopped the crap out of me but i don’t care, ha ha! whoever she is, she looks great ha! i’ve had so much fun with this album i really hope y’all dig it woohooooooooooo!!!!"
And the song? They're obviously going for "Since You've Been Gone" Part 2, even with the speedy/strummy tune opening. But will this tune bring Kelly back?
Lady Gaga: Bringing "The Fame" to you this spring.
Lady Gaga made her TV debut on Logo's NewNowNext Awards last June, cut her teeth doing shows in gay bars, and even doing an underwear party on Fire Island last summer, and spent the fall opening for the New [Old] Kids on the Block. So yep, she's earned it.
By "it" I mean that gay music darling Lady Gaga is gonna shove off on her first headlining tour. Perez Hilton reports that she'll kick off her own musical booze cruise (aka "The Fame Ball" tour) in San Diego mid-March. Attagirl! Let's hope she and her dancers still engage in off-stage hijinks. At Logo's NewNowNext soiree, they shut the party down after they engaged in a stripping/voguing battle with NYC's own Dazzle Dancers.
Also, Gaga better get better security. She evidently had to pitch a tizzy when her pricey Christian Louboutin shoes were pinched during her gig on the Jay Leno's Tonight Show last week.
After jump, get all of her tour dates & some more Gaga pics. See you at the after-party, Steffi!

Last night, Oxygen hosted a NYC party for America's Next Top Model: Obsessed, a new Sunday night show that's a weekly mash-up of the series' craziest clips (or something like that).
Anyway, I stopped in and while I didn't get a chance to bend Tyra's ear (her bulldogish lady-publicist whooshed her by all of the reporters from the likes of Us Weekly, In Touch, the Enquirer and me), the uber-legendary ANTM judge/runway-coach Miss J Alexander did chat for a hot mo'.
Most importantly, since RuPaul claimed last week that she taught Tyra everything she knows, I wanted J's take on this tidbit of tiff-tempting trivia.
Quoth Miss J: "Well, everybody’s got a teacher. It goes from one drag queen to the next. Why not? I’m sure RuPaul taught her how to do her makeup and her wigs!"
When asked who'd win a supermodel walk-off between Tyra & Ru, Miss J was quick to answer: "RuPaul. He would bring a little extra something special."
Ouch... Ya think Mama Ty would condone such treason?

Tyra vs. RuPaul: Who truly owns the runway?

OK. I don't even know what to do with this season of The Real World. Even the "straight" cast members are gayer than gay. In the clip above, you've got Mormon Chet quizzing J.D. about his Magnum condoms, about being "extra-large" and telling him "you gotta whip it out!"
And the clip after the jump is entitled "B*tthole Questions" and features the ever-curious Chet asking gay J.D. about anal sex, how it works and if it gets, er... messy.
And straight guy Scott is an "underwear model?

Making music together: Tilda Swinton & Patrick Wolf
-- Jamie Murnane from AfterEllen.com

She may not have gotten a Golden Globe nod for her roles in Burn After Reading or The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but Tilda Swinton is trying her hand at something new. The Academy Award-winning British actress known for her androgynous look and red-carpet pantsuits (she was voted one of Vanity Fair's best dressed women of 2007) will be exploring her musical side this year.

Megan Fox is preposterously great-looking. But don't ask her to confirm that... Gabbing with E! on the Golden Globe red carpet last night she confesses she's not confident about her looks, and she feels like she's about to barf (yay!), which doesn't prevent the interviewer from gushing "I want your boobs!"
Speaking of boobs, Megan declared that she wants Salma Hayek's boobs. Like, duh... I'm a full-on gay nancy-boy and I even lust after Salma Hayek's boobs. Viva la leche!
Anyway, props to Ms. Fox for being so freakin' self-effacing, eh? (And am I the only twit who didn't know she was boinking Brian Austin Green?)
Oh, Daddy...
Gay action at the Golden Globes last night? Eh... Not so much. But there were still some fun blips and burps on the radar if you watched.
That nice Kate Winslet fared well. Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson were charming to watch together onstage. Tina Fey told online haters to "suck it!" (Yay!). Director Darren Aronofsky playfully flipped winner Mickey Rourke the bird, which made it on air (in the live telecast anyway). And Colin Farrell is back to looking scorchingly hot again these days... Hurrah!
Milk was a non-presence at the shindig. Why wasn't Sean Penn even there? His presence on the red carpet might have spurred some good gay political questions... But alas, we had only Neil Patrick Harris to gaze upon for a nano-second when his nomination was called out.
After the jump, check out my quickie photo-album with dorky gay commentary... And kudos to Renee Zellweger for bringing her demented sourpuss for a good scare.

RuPaul circa 1995: She's STILL raising -- and plucking -- eyebrows.
So, RuPaul and some of the RuPaul's Drag Race gals held court at the Television Critics Association big mega-conference today in L.A., and evidently, the bitch turned it out!
The L.A. Times says: "RuPaul Rocks the Critics!"
Entertainment Tonight asked Ru about her old pal Patrick Swayze (Ru coached Swayze for his dragtastic roll in To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar). Ru said of the cancer-battling actor: "If you see the movie, he sold it. Not on how he looked, but on his body. He really nailed it." And Ru said Swayze was a real sweet fella, too.
Best of all, when asked if she was stealing reality-show techniques from fellow former supermodel Tyra Banks. The exchange went something like this:
RuPaul: "She learned everything from me darling!"
The critic attempted a follow-up: "But what if I said that the show reminds me of Top Model?"
"Then you're retarded. Don't give me no Tyra! I let her borrow all my used wigs. That's it!"
And apparently Ru goaded an aging TV critic from New Jersey to join her and her Drag Race girls onstage for some bumping and grinding.
Do you think those people even know that it's Drag History Month. Shouldn't they be paying Ru proper homage?
One wish for the weekend: Spend some time dancing on a rooftop with old people!!! If you can't swing that, then just watch the freaky kids of Neon Glitter Bliss, Brooklyn's own little trio of youngsters making smurfy pop tunes which you can dance around in your panties to!
Their video for "Wilted Flower" is getting some airplay, and why not? It's got a cameo by drag superstar Sherry Vine (she's the nurse who gets rufied!), a swell NYC location, and NBG's Blake, Beth and Gordy in their gay goth best!
"Wilted Flower" will appear on Logo's NewNowNext Music show this Sunday night, which still cranks out some of the best music you've never heard each week. But since it's National Drag History Month, this clip with Sherry seemed appropo!
Pay attention to NBG's MySpace and what-not. You might get a chance to see the band naked onstage sometime again soon! NBG's Gordy & Blake: Isn't it nice when boys get along? After the jump, some more slick pics.
