Neil Patrick Harris to host the Emmys!

Who knows, maybe we'll see him follow in Ellen's footsteps and be the next gay Oscar host?

First he hosted the TV Land Awards in 2007. Then he hosted the Creative Arts Emmy Awards last year. This year, he hosted the Tonys and the nontelevised Writers Guild Awards ceremony. Now, How I Met Your Mother star and amazing out actor Neil Patrick Harris will behosting the upcoming Primetime Emmy Awards!

After he did such an amazing job hosting the Tonys last month, how could CBS say no to the adorable actor? Plus, the fact that his show is on CBS probably helped him a little. After last year's awful Emmy show (where the five nominees for best reality show host were in charge for the night), giving Harris the gig is the best idea ever.
