It was another big year for the MTV Movie Awards, with Amy Schumer stepping in as host for the first time and The Fault in Our Stars snagging awards for Movie of the Year, Best Female Performance and Best Kiss.

Zac Efron won Best Shirtless Scene (as if there was any question), and Jennifer Lopez won Best Scared As Sh*t performance for playing the unlucky teacher in the campy thriller The Boy Next Door.

J-Lo was handed her award by Channing Tatum and the cast of Magic Mike XXL, including Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer. The show served as a preview of sorts for the coming summer-movie season, with additional clips and cast appearances from Pitch Perfect 2, Fantastic Four and Paper Town, among others.

Robert Downey Jr. was honored with the Generation Award by his Avengers: Age of Ultron co-stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth.

Joking that the award was “the recognition I so desire,” Downey admitted he hasn’t had the easiest road to success. “I partied way too much. I’ve squandered, resisted [and] repented,” he said, calling on the audience to “dream big, work hard, and keep your nose clean.”
