"Pose" and "RuPaul's Drag Race" Score Major 2019 Emmy Nominations

"Schitt's Creek" also finally got some love from the Television Academy!

This morning, July 16, Ken Jeong (Dr. Ken) and D'Arcy Carden (The Good Place) announced the nominees for the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards.

The final season of HBO's Game of Thrones leads with 32 nominations, but Pose received nods in major categories including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Billy Porter's Pray Tell. Schitt's Creek also got some love from the Academy with nominations for Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara, along with a nod for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Continuing its Emmy streak, RuPaul's Drag Race snatched a record-breaking 14 nominations, the most for any series in VH1's history, including Outstanding Reality Competition Series. RuPaul also got a nod for Outstanding Host, and the series was nominated for Best Hair and Best Makeup for the "Trump: The Rusical" episode.

RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars and Untucked, as well as Drag Race digital companion series Portrait of a Queen and Out of the Closet, also received nominations.

Other notable queer nominations include both Laverne Cox (Orange is the New Black) and Cherry Jones (The Handmaid's Tale) for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama. Queer Eye was also nominated in six categories, including Outstanding Structured Reality Program. Netflix's Russian Doll received 13 nominations, including one for Outstanding Writing for queer series co-creator Leslye Headland.
