Remember when we all made fun of the fact that someone was dumb enough to do a remake of 21 Jump Street? Turns out the joke is on us, the movie appears to be pretty awesome.

Check out a few reviews below.

"25 years later, 21 Jump Street the TV show is remembered primarily as the career kickstarter of Johnny Depp as a young actor with an obvious something. As it turns out, dim memories and a new generation of pop culture consumers work to the great advantage of 21 Jump Street the movie: What this fast, cheeky, and very funny interpretation of the original premise sacrifices in teachable moments, it makes up for in intelligent giddiness." -EW

"So 21 Jump Street, an adaptation of Johnny Depp’s career-launching ’80s TV  show, is a meta-comedy — plus it’s a buddy comedy, a physical comedy, an action  comedy and a nonstop raunchy verbal riff like Superbad. That ought to be  enough comedy for anyone, and this is the funniest movie I’ve seen in more." -NYP

"Tatum and Hill turn out to be even better partners than Jenko and Schmidt. Though Tatum is rock hard and Hill is squishy soft, both bring a kind of vulnerability to their characters that makes whatever mayhem they are up to OK. Hill, in particular, knows how to swing between pretension and panic with the greatest of ease." -LA Times

"Not since Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg teamed up in The Other Guys has an onscreen pairing proved as comically rewarding as the inspired partnership of Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as baby-faced cops who go undercover at a high school to bust a drug ring." -THR
