3 Upcoming, Not-to-Be-Missed Circuit Parties for Queer Women

After all, girls just wanna have fun, too.

Although circuit events have generally been considered the gay boys’ domain, a growing number of these highly successful multi-day and night events seem to suggest that quite a few queer girls are big fans too. With sun-soaked days spent poolside and fun-filled nights dancing away to the world’s best DJs and A-list headliners, what’s not to like? If you are a queer woman who likes to party, here are three upcoming circuit events you won’t want to miss:

Without question, the Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend in Palm Springs (April 3-8) reigns queen supreme of the group. The five-day event bills itself as the “largest and most famous lesbian/queer girl party music festival in the world.” Why? Because “The Dinah,” as it is affectionately known, routinely attracts performers like Tegan and Sara, Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, Meghan Trainor, Chaka Khan, and more to its stages. Announced so far this year: Daya, Brie Steves, and Leikeli47. Want more? Well, there are live comedy shows, all-night dance parties, and hot, hot pool parties with thousands of women on the schedule too.

Velvet Ibiza (at top), one of Europe’s most successful circuit events for women, celebrates five years of female-fueled fun (May 7-12) on this Spanish island known for its legendary nightlife. No doubt the all-inclusive nature of the event—tickets include five nights in a Hotel Cala Martina bungalow, three daily meals, nighttime parties, and all drinks until 11pm—ups the appeal-factor too. Entertainment includes top DJs from the U.S. and Europe, and this year’s headliner, Belgian rocker Sarah Bettens (below.)

The five-day Girls in Wonderland party takes place in and around the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando (May 30-June 3) and is produced by the same folks who bring you some other well-known shindigs like Shedonism Las Vegas, Aqua Girl in Miami Beach, and Women’s White Party. Event highlights include an exclusive women’s resort, Kindred Pride’s Red Shirt Day, “Live Women’s Music,” dance parties, a comedy show, and more.

Just don’t forget to pack your sunscreen!
