5 Target Collaborations We Would Like To See

Target recently signed on for 24 collaborations with designers such as Marc Jacobs, Jason Wu and Diane von Furstenberg, but there are a few great ones they left out. Let's take a look:

Betsey Johnson

The 70-year-old designer had a lot of ups and downs this year, from her filing for bankruptcy protection back in April to her recent 90-look comeback show for Spring 2013. However, a deal with Target, which would be a perfect home for her poufy dresses and crazy prints, could give the kind of solid period of pure success she (and all her broke fans) are very deserving of.

Target is one of those consistently surprisingly places to find a great print top, and BCBG is the master of silky, gorgeous patterns framed by thick leather accents. Such teamwork would produce the kinds of pieces that consumers could keep for years and years and wear to almost any occasion.

Kate Spade

Her Spring 2013 line featured a lot of typical spring colors, but hiked up a few notches in brightness. Paired with 60s style sunglasses and neat, white purses, this lovely and feminine collection could easily translate to Target’s aesthetic, even reaching out to the kid’s section (in the best possible way.)

Anna Sui

Target could use a punkier edge, and Anna Sui's latest designs would do just the trick, providing consumers with their leather and denim jacket fix, and a nice pair of leggings to go with it!

Because in no part of the country can you go wrong with vibrant print dresses.
