7 Actors Who Should Star In "Hedwig" On Broadway
Andrew Rannells announced this week that he'd be leaving Hedwig and the Angry Inch in October. And while we're psyched to see what Michael C. Hall brings to the role, we can't help but wonder who will fill that Farrah Fawcett wig next.
Below, we nominate seven actors to "put on some makeup."
Daniel Radcliffe
The Cripple of Innishmaan closed in July, so Radcliife's seat on Broadway is still warm. Plus, what's the name of Harry Potter's owl again?
Chris Colfer
With Glee ending next season, this could be Colfer's chance to prove he isn't just a dollface with a good falsetto. (Assuming he actually isn't, of course.)
Adam Lambert
Lambert's already been stepping into Freddie Mercury's shoes on tour with Queen. In fact, he might actually have to dial it down a notch.
Alan Cumming
Kind of a no-brainer. Plus, both NPH and Michael C. Hall took over the Emcee role after Cumming left Cabaret, so it'd be like coming full circle.
Jinkx Monsoon
We were rooting for Jinkx to get the call after NPH stepped down. C'mon, it would be epic.
Juliette Lewis
Women have been cast as Hedwig before—Allie Sheedy did it during the show's 1990s off-Broadway run. And Lewis earned her rock cred with her band, Juliette and the Licks.
Jared Leto
He can sing. He can act. He can play a trans woman. He already has an Oscar. We could be looking at the birth of another EGOT!
