7 Names For The New Royal Princess That Are Better Than "Charlotte"
There's a new baby in the British royal family, as Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, welcomed a bouncing baby girl, sister to Prince George and fourth in line to the crown.
The royal couple officially announced today that her name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
Charlotte, of course, is the feminine version of Charles, the name of her paternal grandfather—and was the name of King George III's queen. Elizabeth and Diana, meanwhile, are likely in honor of her great-grandmother and grandmother.
It's a beautiful name, but we had some picked out that we thought were even better. (We're cheeky like that.)
1. Hermione

2. Twilight Sparkle

3. Khaleesi
We all know in 20 years there's gonna be, like, 10 million girls named after this Game of Thrones queen. Why shouldn't a real royal daughter start the trend?
4. Emma
Because there just aren't enough Emmas in the world.
5. Britney Jean
Not only would it be a tribute to our Queen of Pop, but it would (sort of) pay tribute to herb homeland of Great Britain.
6. Elsa
Because Frozen really needs a foothold on pop culture.
7. Camilla
Naw, we just kiddin.'
